A robust amber ale brewed with locally roasted, organic fair trade espresso. The espresso is a dark Sumatran blend, which adds a toasty character in the front palate. This plays nicely off the sweet malty flavors found on the back palate of this amber ale. * Espresso is Maine roasted in collaboration with local hand-crafted roaster Coffee by Design in Portland. * In partnership with Transfair, a non-profit that works towards giving farmers and farm workers a livable wage and supporting efforts to sustain environmental stewardship in the communities. * This is the first Fair Trade Certified™ beer brewed in the United States. http://www.peakbrewing.com/

An expresso beer for those who don’t really enjoy stouts and porters. Lots of roasted coffee aroma. The flavors, body and mouthfeel work well together and make this a very unique Amber Ale.

Very tasty as the resins blend right into the espresso. Surprisingly light tasting for a 7.0 abv. I’d probably tire of it after one, but on a nippy day it’s great.

On tap at Redwood Cafe. Pours a teddy brown color with a bit of head. Medium coffee flavor but not overpoweringly bitter.

Bomber->nonic. Bright amber with moderate frothy offwhite head. A: roast coffee, malt, nuts. T: nutty and malty with a bitter espresso finish. Decent but tad watery.

This beer has an amazing dark amber hue with tiny bit if creamy head that clings to the side if your glass. It has strong roasted espresso bean aromas. A coffee flavor starts out strong and mellows into that more typical finish of an amber. The flavor hangs around for a long time and continues to make you want to take another sip. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

22 oz bottle. Clear garnet brown with beige froth. Nose is coffee bean, light grape and hay. Creamy at first yielding to a sharp lively tang. Taste features bold espresso bean backed by mild toffee and grass. Not shy with the coffee.

Rather enjoyable for an amber ale...although coffee makes everthing better. Pours a dark amber with a finger of dense dark beige head. The nose is mildly roasted with noted espresso and coffee aromas, light toasted bread and cereal malts as well as a bit of dark chocolate. A bit sweet with a dose of espresso towards the finish with a short but memorable finish. Overall, an interesting brew.

#13 in the advent calendar. Pours cloudy orange amber. Weak head. Smells of sweet coffee, malt and chocolate. Taste is a complex mix of malt, espresso and mild floral hops. Creamy texture. May be a little sweet for some. Good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thin white head atop a reddish brown body. Nose of milk chocolate and coffee. Good coffee base and some what creamy throught the finish. Pretty good.

Rating #825 - Beer 13 in the Craft Beer Advent Calendar - December 13, 2013. Bottle, 6.8%. Dark amber pour with a weak tan foam that recedes quickly to a ring. Aroma is an unreal whiff of espresso. Palate is bold malt flavour, lightly hopped and full of coffee flavour. Mouth feel is dry, mild carbonation, but crisp and satisfying. Lots of bold coffee flavour, but not one-dimensional, a slight noble hoppy presence and toasted malt bitterness round out a fantastic brew.
