Reviewed from notes. I had a sixpack of it and all of the beers were always poured into a pint glass. The appearance was a somewhat transparent amber color with some carbonated bubbles rising and filling a one finger white foamy head that dissipates within about a minute. The lacing ends up sliding into the body. The smell had a super piney hoppiness running about it with light citrusy hops coming in every now and again. The taste was mainly bitter which lead to the same aftertaste and finish. On the palate, it sat fairly crisp and light and showed a decent sessionability about it. The carbonation was harsh as well. Overall, not a bad American Amber, but its basically just okay for the style and to me.

Smooth and drinkable with a slightly bitter finish. Not as much flavor overall as i would have liked so maybe something for the warm early fall... Something stronger for when it gets colder though ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Southpaw BBQ. Copper pour with a white head. Aroma is onion, garlic, and pine. Some sweet toasted bread, caramel, and nuts, too. A touch of soap. Flavor is sweet up front with a rather strong bitterness on the finish. Lots of onion and pine. Toast, caramel, and nuts. Light orange peel. Not a fan.

Draft @ Ale House Amesbury, MA. Clear amber color with no head. From the first sniff I knew I would be disappointed with this brew. It smells like they used Shipyard house yeast. (I really don’t like Ringwood) It smells like caramel malt and dirty dish water. The carbonation is fizzy like soda. The body is really thin. Oh man!... the flavor tastes like it smells. I would suggest that if Peak doesn’t have the capacity to brew all their beer in house, don’t contract it out for Shipyard to brew it. I didn’t finish my pint.

Butterscotch and vegetal hops. Weird, but drinkable. Watery. 12 oz. bottle purchased from Leary’s for $1.80.

Serving: Draft. It pours a very ruddy amber with a small off white head. The nose is mostly nuttiness with some caramel. The flavor follow suit with a very mild earthy bitterness. Light to medium body. Decent.
