Pretty good beer. Has an extremely strong malt aroma. Flavor follows with a moderate amount of bitterness. Sweeter than I had expected but still enjoyable.

Advent 21. Noir is right, very dark with long lasting rich foam. Dark malt scent with hints of chocolate before being lost in a hop cloud. Front of flavour is light chocolate malt. Back end is more hops. Finish is unpleasant, herbal and soapy.

Dark ruby with basically no head. Aroma of roast and toffee. Sickly sweet. Taste roasty and weird, odd vegetable notes. Did not enjoy.

2/10/2012. From bottle. Pours black with a tan head. Malty aromas with pine, caramel and citrus. Malty flavors with hops, but seem to lack a bit of structure to make it interesting.

Draft. Pours black with creme white head that lingers. Little carbonation with mild hop aroma. Enjoy the caramel/coffee flavors of a stout with the hop bitterness. Great beer.

A very good lookin beer from a bottle. Nice fairly thin choco moose head. Smell is dull hops. Big and strong with initial old wet burnt campfire wood stout effects tinged by heavy hops. Wew, pretty strong but it tries to grow on yah. Yes, wew, wants to be a stout but the stout is not imperial enough to overtake the mouth coating rude ipa BS. Wew that finish really is an ipa chin kicker.

355ml bottle pours black in color with a small tan head that leaves some spotted lacing. Aroma is roasted grains with some citrus and pine. Taste is a roasted grain with citrus and pine hop bitterness and a chocolate malty sweetness. Medium body with modest carbonation. Well done, solid black IPA. Definitely recommended.

Poured a dark amber color with a foamy head. Aromas of caramel, toffee, and pine/grassy hops. Flavor of toffee mixed with a hoppy profile but the malt comes through with more of a dominating toffee. Light to medium sweet. Alcohol is not noticed. Decent.
