3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a finger and half of head on a clear straw body.
The aroma is grain, lemon and pine. Nice.
The taste is moderately bitter to start, malty middle and finishes with a long pine and grapefruit bitterness.
The texture is crisp.
A nice IPA.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Forgettable. It’s not bad; it’s just has nothing that stands out. It’s a really safe ipa. The aroma is somewhat citrusy and faintly grassy (would have liked a little more kick here). Taste is cirtus and some grapefruit notes with a sufficient malt deliver (would have liked something to shine a little here). Finish is not lighter on the bitter side with a mild hop element. I just was hoping that at 7.1% it would shine it some area, but I’m just not seeing it. Overall, not bad and pretty good while you’re drinking it; however, the forgettable quality lingers...kind of like the movie The Negotiator.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle purchased at Trader Joe’s, best by 7/25/15. It pours a nice gold color with an off white head. The aroma is piney, floral with some hints of fruit, toffee and bread. The flavor reminds me of an old school IPA with lots of floral bitterness and other sweeter grapefruit and pine notes. There is thankfully, just a little caramel malt and is pretty light in terms of body and moughfeel. The bitterness gets a little asprin-like in the finish. Otherwise, not too bad.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle in restaurant, NYC. Really nice American IPA. The usual citrus and pine notes in the aroma. Mouth feel quite thin and bubbly but in a pleasant and refreshing way. Very long and bitter finish. Very enjoyable warmer before getting back on the frozen streets of New York in January.
