King Crimson is an Imperial Red Ale that delivers a royal bounty of luscious, fruity American hops on top of a sturdy, deep red malt backbone. This beer is lavishly dry-hopped with Simcoe©, adding a citrusy and piney flavor and aroma to the toasty, sweet malt notes. This special treat is a very limited release, so enjoy it while you can.

Big, fluffy, ivory head on a clear, medium-dark maroon beer. Appearance dings for the twistoff bomber - that’s just like flipping a bird at homebrewers everywhere. Pedestrian label, foil top. Diacetyl dominates the otherwise tangy, tannic APA aroma. Sometimes it was a bit perfumy. Frooty beer. Plum/sloe, sweet, citrus gel flavors of tea, wood and orange peel. Prominent tangerine notes in the finish. Medium body, brothy mouthfeel with a citrus pith bitterness at the end. New Leaf Market.

At first taste off the tap the beer this beer was delicious; however, right now I’m drinking from the growler I had them fill up so that’s what I’m rating it off of. This beer at first smell has an sediment aroma and makes your tounge salivate. Then when you taste it there is a malt kinda IPA palate. It is a little bitter but overall I would recommend this beer.

22oz bomber split with Anndiesel. Unfiltered burgundy-red-orange, glowing. Foamy off-white/beige head. Interesting balance of an aroma, from cherry wood amber malt tones to a menthol citrus hop edge. A pretty decent and enjoyable beer, but the choice of hops maybe just doesn’t work here...or something. Cooling and tropical essence of the Simcoe hop interacts awkwardly with the big caramel and amber malt tones. You could call this an English Barleywine maybe. Interesting and unique, but not that well executed.

A reddish copper ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a smooth caramel malt with pungent floral hops, light sulfur notes, not bad. In mouth, a sweet caramel malt with piney hops, grass and clovers, nice and smooth. Tasted at Raquette River Beer and Wine Fest, July 13 2012.

Draft. Ruby beer with a light tan head. Rich malt and light grapefruit aroma with light summer fruit. Malt and light toffee flavor with grapefruit and pine. Medium bodied. Grapefruit and pine linger with light cocoa and toffee.

22oz Bottle, purchased at Wakefield Liquors - Wakefield, RI. Malty, aged barleywine aroma. Flavors are about the same, with a thin, dry, clean mineral and seed flavor. I think I got duped by Wakefield Liquors here. This is not fresh. I should have known better. The beer is not overly oxidized, but the hops are definitely faded. When did this come out? If I can take a moment to see past the age, I can see this as a decent hoppy Red.

Clear red pour with creamy tan head. Slightly resiny and roasted malt nose. medium bodied, resiny hops and roasty red malts...but its definte got that a a buttery taste to it ..Lingering bitter finish. Seems like a decent imperial red but something seemed off with my bottle.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours reddish copper with a rich beige head and a smoky toffee aroma. There is a raspy red malt flavor with a sweet and sour finish.
