COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Conceived in DC by Peak Representative Tim Adams

King Crimson is an Imperial Red Ale that delivers a royal bounty of luscious, fruity American hops on top of a sturdy, deep red malt backbone. This beer is lavishly dry-hopped with Simcoe©, adding a citrusy and piney flavor and aroma to the toasty, sweet malt notes. This special treat is a very limited release, so enjoy it while you can.

A red that I liked, akin in taste to a barleywine. Rich malting. Reddish colour. Above average looks and mouthfeel. Nice hop bitterness. Very drinkable.

22oz bottle: Pours a clear deep copper bronze with a spotty-lacing froth of off-white head. Has a lightly sweet toasty caramel nose with a light grapefruity hoppy nose. Starts with pretty good fullness and chewy light caramel sweetness with a good piny hop flavor and bitter balance before a drier bittersweet finish. Smooth and quite drinkable.

Sweet caramel upfront with butterscotch notes per Shipyard (Ringwood) , then a dry ,bracing citrus/pine hop bitterness . Medium bodied , sticky mouthfeel , medium carbonation . Bitterness builds as you drink , finish is very dry . Meh

A dark and stormy red with a haze that resembles magenta. Head dissapates quickly, abv is not in your face. Definately an organic essennce on this one as it goes down so smooth with a slight hop push to it. Aftertaste is an enjoyable fruit surprise. This is an enjoyable, grand beer from the best beer state around. It was a pleasure to partake in such a brew.
