King Crimson is an Imperial Red Ale that delivers a royal bounty of luscious, fruity American hops on top of a sturdy, deep red malt backbone. This beer is lavishly dry-hopped with Simcoe©, adding a citrusy and piney flavor and aroma to the toasty, sweet malt notes. This special treat is a very limited release, so enjoy it while you can.

Bottle @ Goodbar Beer Club. Nose is rich caramel, alcohol, orange, tropical hoppiness, dark fruits. Flavor is caramel, toffee, light chocolate, dark fruits. Bitterness is solid but not overwhelming. Quite nice.

22oz bottle: Pours a clear deep copper bronze with a spotty-lacing froth of off-white head. Has a lightly sweet toasty caramel nose with a light grapefruity hoppy nose. Starts with pretty good fullness and chewy light caramel sweetness with a good piny hop flavor and bitter balance before a drier bittersweet finish. Smooth and quite drinkable.

Sweet caramel upfront with butterscotch notes per Shipyard (Ringwood) , then a dry ,bracing citrus/pine hop bitterness . Medium bodied , sticky mouthfeel , medium carbonation . Pours clear deep amber into a Sam glass. Off-white micro head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Sour caramel aromas. Thick with sweet toasted caramel and hay upfront turning to a mild resin finish.

A dark and stormy red with a haze that resembles magenta. Head dissapates quickly, abv is not in your face. Definately an organic essennce on this one as it goes down so smooth with a slight hop push to it. Aftertaste is an enjoyable fruit surprise. This is an enjoyable, grand beer from the best beer state around. It was a pleasure to partake in such a brew.

Let it warm up. Very bitter, grassy resin. Really smacks you in the face at first. Then as it warms blossoms into a big beautiful red headed hop bomb. A bit harsh but pretty good.

Pours a beautiful deep shade of, well crimson, with a huge fluffy beige head that sticks to everything. Fruity and caramel malts mixed with earthy grassy citrus hops just about sum up the aroma on this one. I got an intense blast of citrus when I popped the cap open but that was short lived. Taste is caramel and dark pitted fruit mixed with an earthy spicy bitterness. Long lingering earthy grapefruit finish. Resinous and creamy mouthfeel, medium body and carbonation level. Wow I’m kind of impressed. Nice balanced red ale at a reasonable price compared to its peers. Great luscious creamy mouthfeel. Too bad its a "limited release" Points off for the screw top cap.
