| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 1/5 | 8/20 | Nov 27, 2009 Pours a clear brown, cola colored, with a small head and big bubbles... Aroma is sweet, nutty, caramel... Flavor is stale, nonexistant, somewhat burnt and quite generic.... Fizzy, flat soda quality, lingeringness is burnt not dry, very strange... daknole (2926), Plantation, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 13, 2009 A: Poured with an average-sized, off-white head that diminished to a thin film. Body is dark amber and clear. Some slight lacing left on the glass.
S: To tell the truth, I’m not detecting a lot here... it’s pretty weak. Some roasted malt, but that’s all I’m getting.
T: Lightly sweet with roasted malt, finishing with a very mild bitterness. The whole flavor is mild in general, but in a good way, as it is quite smooth with the sweetness. Average duration.
M: Medium-bodied and creamy, with soft carbonation.
D: Overall, quite mild for a brown ale. Their amber ale is more intense than this, but the brown is still very drinkable and enjoyable. thornecb (1769), Marblehead, Massachusetts, USA

Off-white head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Mild toast aromas. Astringent upfront with roasted nuts and a lasting bitter finish. sfhodense (555), Odense NØ, Denmark

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 30, 2009 Bottle… Clear mahogany ale with a small, fizzy, white head. Caramel and toasted almonds stand out in the bouquet. Medium-bodied with a milky mouthfeel and prickly carbonation. The flavor, as the beer warms in the south Florida sunshine, remains very well-balanced even at 70 degrees. Caramel and chocolate malt sweetness is apparent, but a heavy handed hop schedule really balances things out and keeps them that way. Notations of decadent caramel and buttery toffee. Finishes crisp and lightly bitter. Underrated.
