Golden amber hue small white head with ok retention. Clean nose, a bit of lemon aroma. Mouth is all pale malt balanced well. Just a tad of citrus on the finish. Light to medium body.

Bottle from variety pack bought in Congers. Drank during Easter from lager glass. Pours dark gold with white head. Aroma is faint and not really distinguishable. Palate is noticeably lacking in terms of hop profile or malt flavor. Just kind of grainy and gritty - not the bright hoppy sort of pale ale I was hoping for. Maybe my standards for this style are too high after some recent samples from other brewers.

Brandman (2144) - Helsinki, FINLAND - MAR 19, 2012
Copper body, white head. Aroma of toasty malt and light caramel. Cookie flavour, bit grassy hops. Very clear taste with some fruity notes, but very very dull pale ale.

porterhouse (1581) - Boothbay, Maine, USA - JAN 13, 2012
(Bottle, best before 1/12) Pours slightly cloudy orange-amber. Three fingers of rocky, lightly-amberish off-white head. Aroma of citrusy hops over caramel and vanilla. Mouthfeel fairly smooth, medium-thin. Flavor of citrusy hops with caramel, vanilla, light bread and a bit of egginess. Medium-light bitterness overlays and provides a pinch in the finish.

The same golden color that most pale ales are. Filtered and clear. White foam. Smells like an old root cellar. Organic and malty. Bland, tart, and grassy, and malty. A very malty and pure beer.

6 pack from local Market Basket. Somewhat hazy orange color in a pint. Nose of citrus. Little head, nearly no lace. Flavor is malt upfront, buttery, and very slight grassy hops. Less hoppy than I would have guessed. OK.

LilBeerDoctor (3505) - Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 11, 2011
Bottle. Pours a cloudy dirty orange with a small white head. Aroma of sweet candy, fruits (sugary apple and pear), sweet malt. Flavor of raisin, prunes, sweet caramel malt. Sweet and a little sugary but it is drinkable. Not your typical hoppy pale ale. It was ok overall. 7/4/6/4/14 [3.5/5]

12 oz bottle, part of a mixed 12 pack. Pours a light amber/orange with a 1/2" white head. Grassy aroma with light fruit, apples. First few sips have an apple taste, then settles out to grassy hops. Light, fizzy body. Almost soda like. Not bad.

Pretty nice standard pale ale that i had at the GFs sisters wedding. Nice light hop profile with a good smooth malt.
