BeerBelcher (698), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Apr 15, 2008 I remain unimpressed with the organically-produced beers I’ve rated. This "pale ale" was more reminiscent of a witbier to me than a hoppy-styled beer.
This beer poured a slightly hazy orange color, with a Sprite-like head that faded to a puffy cloud-like head after a few minutes. Aroma was really strange for a pale ale - I got a lot of coriander and (not very pale ale-like) citrus-ness. In other words, its aroma was very much like a witbier rather than a pale ale. Flavor was similarly confusing - a bit hoppy but with some other witbier - like flavors. Mouthfeel was unremarkable.
I can’t say I’d recommend this beer. I bought it as a single-serve bottle at Woodman’s in Oak Creek, WI.
Beerman6686 (567), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2008 Poures a clear orange color with a small off white head. Aroma was pretty mild, a bit hoppy and grassy. Flavor tastes like water and hops, very strange. swoopjones (1048), Buffalo, New York, USA Jul 20, 2008 Bottle. Nothing real special here. Slightly below average APA. Decent hop filled aroma. Taste was mild hoppiness. Just ok FROTHINGSLOSH (1448), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 12, 2008 Sampled on draft this beer poured a bright orange-amber color with a large white head that lingers. The aroma was bitter fruity hops. The flavor was dry, bitter and buttery with a long buttery finish. Not good. dkachur (647), Charlottesville, Virginia, USA Jul 2, 2008 Bottle shared by cdumler that apparently came from the Total Wine in Chantillty, VA. Hazy peach color with a small head. Decent lacing. Grain, caramel and citrus aroma. Taste of strong grain with notes of caramel, citrus and tea. Thick, papery mouthfeel. jbuzz (414), South Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA Jun 30, 2008 Organic Beer Tasting at Three Cellars Milwaukee
