groot (7), USA does not count Mar 27, 2007 Updated: Mar 28, 2007this is a recent favorite. enjoyed on tap at the great lost bear. pours a caramel hue with a gluey head. first sip hints of citrus cascades with a subtle sweet malt backing. while the hops preside, the maits make this one unique. a great brew, finely crafted! beersun (12), California, USA Mar 26, 2007 A great session beer. Perfect balance between hoppy and smooth. The site says its a mix between a west coast and english style pale ale. This comes out clearly in the taste. Very citrusy but smooth as well. Kudos to them. BigBen2120 (558), Gardiner(52 miles from Allagash), Maine, USA Aug 18, 2007 Pours with a translucent but hazy amber body with a half inch of off-white head. Smells malty, fruity, caramel, and butterscotch. Roasty caramel and chocolate malts play a big role with a fair bit of supporting diacetyl and fruity flavor. Unlike in many beers, the diacetyl actually helps this beer. Very balanced. The flavors mix, but also come through individually one at a time at different places in the mouth throughout a good sip in a way that few beers do. Medium in body with a bit less carbonation than expected. Overall this makes a good EPA and a tasty beer. joca (4), USA does not count Apr 1, 2006 Nice color and head on the pour. This is a hoppy pale ale that finishes surprisingly smooth. Good citrusy nose. A really nice organic beer beerphilosophy (14), New York, New York, USA Mar 22, 2007 Very impressed with this organic beer. Pours kind of light, but carries a nice middle of a hop punch and follows with a tasty, smooth finish. Leaves a very nice hop aftertaste in the mouth. In these hop-crazy days it is refreshing to find beers that still care about balance and drinkability. I will drink this all the time.
