COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love the piney, fruity flavors of Simcoe® hops. This is a classic pale ale, with a generous dry hopping of Simcoe®. Because of the restrained malt profile, the hops really pop, like flora in spring.

12oz bottle poured into a tulip glass. Clear gold with a nice white head. Clean hop nose - pines, flowers, mild fruitiness and faint caramel. Juicy piney hop flavors, clean malt, soft caramel notes, medium bitterness. Light bodied, very drinkable, dry and quite fun.

A clear medium amber body with a thin white head that had some nice retention to it an a bit of lace. Aroma was of mild toasted malts. Very well restrained. A nice sense of pine hopes and a good dose of citrus hops. There was a mild sense of corn, but not enough to negatively affect the beer. Flavor had a mild sweetness to it and it was a bit more bitter than i expected. Expected a little more balance. A nice dry finish. A decent beer.

Draft at Stout NYC with Chris and Tom. Pours a light golden body with light carbonation and white lacing. Aroma is mellow fruits, smooth melon and fresh grassy hop. Delicate simcoe on the nose. Mouthfeel is soft, light and almost thin with notes of soft fruits and grass mostly, but with an obtrusive grainy character distrupting the flavor profile. I felt like this was really close to being really good.

Fra fad, ABC Restaurant, New York. Klar og gylden, med et fint lille hvidt skum. Klassisk SImcoe næse. Mine konse siger at den lugter af kattepis. Jeg siger blodgrape og gran. Malten er der bare. Meget ren, tør og frisk bryg. Medium bitter. Stor smag for så lav en ABV.

Bottle at home. Pours clear orange with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is moderate diacetyl (butter) with cracker and biscuit malt, earthy, resin, and pine hops, sweaty gym socks and pear esters. Flavor is moderate hops and heavy bitterness with light cracker malt, light diacetyl, some fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium to light body and medium carbonation, somewhat slick.

On tap at Great Sage. Golden color with thin white head. Citrus slightly piney aroma. Crisp lightly malty flavor with a nice citrus hop flavor. Smooth slightly piney finish. Very drinkable. Pairs nicely with medium to mild vegetarian chili.

Bottle. Pours a bright golden color with a thin off white head. Floral/piney aroma. This is a great showcase beer for Simcoe hops. It brings out the flavor of the hops but its not overwhelming and well balanced. I’ve not had this hop variety much before and it may be an acquired taste but the more I drink of this beer the more I like it. I’ve had hit or miss with Peak Organic in the past but this is now one of my favorites from them.

Keg, On Tap, Whole Foods Market, Columbus Circle, 19/02/14. Light misted gold haloed with white. That brittle dry curry leaf Simcoe I love; grapefruit, mellow pine and botanicals over a clinging, lightly buttered biscuit malt base. Top sessions; wouldn’t disgrace itself in Sheffield or the Felix Holt of a pre-match Saturday lunchtime. Nose is aniseed, curry leaf, flowers and passion fruit. Excellent.
