COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We love the piney, fruity flavors of Simcoe® hops. This is a classic pale ale, with a generous dry hopping of Simcoe®. Because of the restrained malt profile, the hops really pop, like flora in spring.

6er from Food Town in Lansdale. Pours dark straw toward orange with off-white head. Nose is sweet caramel malt, mangoey fruit, peppery florals. Tastes crisp, with a subdued but pleasant Simcoe note, florals, caramel malt, and tropical mangoey and tangerine notes.

12oz bottle pours copper in color with semi loose white head. The aroma offers up spicy hops, tangelo like citrus hops and a touch of grapefruit. The taste is similar with spicy hops, floral hops and a moderate hop bitterness that intermingles with lesser amounts of citrus hops. Toward midway and into the finish the flavor hoppiness and mild malt sweetness fade and leave a lingering bitter hoppiness. The body is on the thin sessionable side which certainly works well for this session beer.

12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Slightly hazy fairly deep amber with a huge lasting creamy/fizzy whitish head. Smells like ... Simcoe; catty, pungent, some alcohol, a bit mild. Taste - follows, milder even, a touch roasty, leafy, dry .... average body, mild carbonation, fairly quick dry, slightly earthy finish. Nothing special, but very, very sessionable.

On tap for growler fills at Half Time. Pours a clear gold with a large to medium sized white head. Sweet malt, candy, but not much hop aroma. Where’s the Simcoe? Sweet and malty. Sweet malt, light earthy bitterness. Would be a fine beer if I didn’t come into it expecting Simcoe. Doesn’t deliver on that front.

Bottle. Pours a copper toned body with a white head that quickly diminishes. Grass y and bittering body with a a light spruce and earth tones. Herbal with hints of pine and a dry finish. Soft carbonation light body easy drinking but only slightly above the middle of the road.

Bottle [12oz]. Pours a slightly hazy golden-orange, quite bubbly, and with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Nice aroma of strawberries, piney hops, citrus fruit, sweet malt and some herbal notes -- quite lovely. Flavour of sweet malt, piney hops, some fruit, herbs and a pleasant dry bitter finish -- refreshing and tasty. Average bodied. I love Simcoe hops and beers that use them and this one is no exception -- a nice surprise and a joy to drink, well done.

Bottle. This erupted a bit. The head is simply volcanic, bubbling with big white foam. The beer is effortlessly carbonated, and boiling over with sweet, citric aromas. It drinks with a tart, orange-laden fruitiness, intermingled with a musty twist. Quite refreshing, yet biting enough for the serious hopheads. (#4578, 4/29/2012)

8/6/11. 12oz bottle. Faintly hazy orange pour with a small off-white head that fades but laces a ton. Fruity, slightly sour hop aroma with cattiness and seltzer. Decent, but light, flavor with grassiness, a touch of lemon peel, and graininess. Meh.
