A traditional summer wheat beer marries a west coast Pale ale. Brewed with locally grown wheat, providing a complex mouthfeel, and single-hopped and generously dry-hopped with Amarillo, creating a glorious citrusy aroma and finish. The approachable 5% abv makes this the perfect session beer on a summer day.

Bottle, pale wheat pour. Lemon-lime citrus and wheaty aroma with unexpected resiny hops. Flavor follows up aroma nicely. Lime-lemon with nice bitterness. Decent summer beer

Strong citrus and pine hop aroma. Pours just slightly hazy, burnished yellow with full white head and excellent lacing. Taste begine with hop citrus and bitterness but pretty quickly falls off to a warm bread maltiness that carries on in to the finish. Mouth feel is creamy but a little thin. Well described as a hybrid IPA/Weizen targeted as a session brew.

8/7/11. 12oz bottle. Slightly hazed dark golden pour with a small white head. Hmmm, I’m torn on this beer. There’s a nice, rich hop character and pleasant malty graininess, but it’s also a bit papery and seems old, and yet I know it’s fresh... I guess it was a good recipe with bad technique? Still torn.

Bottle, best before October ’11. Pours clear dark gold with some orange highlights and a large light beige head. Aromas of mild citrus peel and pine, and some dough. The flavor is sweet bready and doughy malt, some sugar and mild peach/mango, with some lightly bitter grassy hops. Very easy-drinking and refreshing. Sessionable and fairly tasty. [751]
