A traditional summer wheat beer marries a west coast Pale ale. Brewed with locally grown wheat, providing a complex mouthfeel, and single-hopped and generously dry-hopped with Amarillo, creating a glorious citrusy aroma and finish. The approachable 5% abv makes this the perfect session beer on a summer day.

On tap. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a white foamy head and lots of lacing. It has a nice aroma with plenty of hoppy citrus and a bit of grass. The flavor is mildly hoppy up front with a balanced middle and crisp, wheaty aftertaste over a light body. A great summer session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce twist-off bottle - $1.79 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.

Best Enjoyed Before: N 13.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, yellow-hued body with small-sized, white head.

Smell: Moderately lemony, but, there’s also a little hint of tangerine. Grainy, modestly wheat-scented malts. And a single pat of sweet cream butter.

Taste: Soft wheat character, faintly grainy, lightly sweet, with, as always, the buttery diacetyl tones from the Ringwood. Bright, light citrusy lemon taste pops in as does the bitterness, but, what would be a more cutting hop quality, is, I feel, blunted by the buttery hint throughout. Drying, smooth, buttery-lemon finish.

Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Skosh of a medium level of carbonation.

Overall: While I found the twelve ounces agreeable, but I wonder where it finds a home at. It’s not overly wheaty and the hops are somewhat muted by the diacetyl character (at least in this batch), so, I do wonder "who is this for?" I could see this being replaced sometime down the road.

355ml bottle pours a light golden color with a finger of white head that settles to reveal some fairly nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is grassy and floral with a hint of citrus. Taste is a light citrus and grass hop bitterness with a malty sweetness underneath. Typical brew for the style, nothing special. Easy drinking session brew.

355mL found for $2. Pours a low haze golden. Thicker than expected white head. Webby lacing. Nose is squashy, pineapple air freshener, grass, odd butterscotch. As it warms more butterscotch. Taste is dry, grassy, soapy, spicy. Hints of butterscotch in the background. Fairly bitter. Odd but not offensive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
