A traditional summer wheat beer marries a west coast Pale ale. Brewed with locally grown wheat, providing a complex mouthfeel, and single-hopped and generously dry-hopped with Amarillo, creating a glorious citrusy aroma and finish. The approachable 5% abv makes this the perfect session beer on a summer day.

This was a beer given to me while on vacation at Holden Beach. The beer poured a yellow to straw color with a white frothy head. This is great beach beer. There was some bitterness but mild. The beer is somewhat thin and not what I normally try. There was some lemon on the tongue and the finish was smooth with a mild bitterness. Carbonation was average and a light body.

Bottle. Golden pour with a tall, frothy, sudsy white head. Strong citrus notes in the aroma along with floral hops, and soft malt. Taste is big citrus, floral hops, grassy notes, light lemon zest, and light malt. Body is light-medium with a strong, creamy carbonation. Ends with more strong citrus notes, toasted malt, grains, grassy notes and floral hops.

The aroma is metallic and hoppy with a grassy herbal hops. The malts are there and give it a slightly bread like quality. The taste is like the aroma and not bad at all. The palate is smooth and a bit thin, but OK for the style. Overall a nice session beer.

Served on draft at Whole Foods Market Charlottesville. Pours a clear golden color with a thin frothy head. Poor head retention. Aroma of herbal hops and pale malts. Very similar taste. Medium bodied and pretty bland.

Serving: 12 oz. bottle from Fire Works Leesburg. It pours a pale gold with a frothy white head. The nose has lots of grassy and lemon hop notes. The flavor is bright with the lemony and grassy hops. There is a touch of grain on the back end. Very light in body with a clean finish. Good summer fare.

It pours pale yellow with a fizzy, short-lived head. There is a pretty good malt character in the aroma with citrus or maybe pineapple or melon. The body is light. The taste is about the same with an extra tart finish.

12oz bottle pours clear effervescent gold with white head. The aroma is lemon acidity at times and sugary cotton candy marshmallow at other times. The taste does offer up a decent dose of lemon like citrus with some acidity. Behind that is sort of a sweet floral cotton candy like sensation and a bit of grainy malts. OK, summer brew, eh? Maybe this is better when super fresh and what I have maybe isn’t super fresh.

Bottle. Poured golden with a white head that settled to a ring and left good lace. Aroma of lemon grain, bread dough, and light toasted malt. The flavor found grain and lemon. Light body and crisp.
