COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Peak Maple Collaboration is a truly local project. It’s a new twist on our previously brewed Maple Oat Ale. We worked with local farmers and small businesses to craft this beer with Maine-grown organic oats from GrandyOats and Vermont-produced organic maple syrup from Butternut Mountain Farms. The Maple Collaboration is a copper-colored brew with a dynamic mouth feel from the organic oats and a subtle richness in the finish from the organic maple syrup. The beer is in support of Chefs Collaborative, the nation’s leading environmentally conscious culinary organization.

Bomber from Beer Run. Pours a clear bronze color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Nice looking beer. Aroma of maple, nuts, toffeeish malts, herbal almost tinny hops. The taste is big maple notes, nuts, apple. Very granola-ish. Some stone fruits and a bitter hop finish. Medium bodied, average carbonation, slight lingering bitterness and slight lingering sweetness. Nice beer.

Bomber. Poured clear honeyed amber with a short, dense khaki head. The aroma was very, very sweet with maple, vanilla, and nutty notes.. made me think I was gonna get the diabeetus. The flavor found sweet maple, vanilla, and nutty notes again at the core.. lightly-toasted oats too.. lots of lingering maple on the finish. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. nice and toasty.. this was aiight.

11/11/11. 22oz bottle. Clear brown/amber pour with a small fluffy khaki head that fades. Extremely plain aroma with a touch of sweet caramel and a ton of metal. Huge metallic/iron flavor with just barely a touch of maple and maybe a hint of roasted caramel malts. Borderline horrible.

PorterPounder (5196) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - NOV 12, 2011
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 22 oz bomber. Pours a slightly murky, dark copper with a sticky white head that leaves a bit of lacing. Aroma is a bit muddled - some burnt coffee, a hint of maple syrup sweetness. Flavor has some of that muddled quality to it as well. Pick up some maple syrup sweetness, a bit of dark unsweetened chocolate, lots of crystal malt artificial sweetening. Mouthfeel is sticky. Very average.
