3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
1/2/10. 12oz bottle. Amber pour with a small khaki head. Sour, almost burning hop aroma with green leaves and a hint of caramel. Sweet caramel flavor with ash, green leaves, sour hops, and biscuits. Decent hop profile, but far from a dunkelweizen? Eh.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
This smelled like someone had filled the coffee percolator with cat whizz, or had otherwise put the litterbox too close to the fireplace. Dilute, clear brown with a light tan head. Generic-looking label, twistoff longneck. Cat pee and roast flavor, over-brewed hops. Sausage-y aftertaste, light body. Train wreck in a bottle. New Leaf Market.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tallahassee, Fl - New Leaf Market - 12 oz bottle. Pours a sparkling dark copper with a thin, but sticky off-white head that leaves a nice thin coat of lacing. Aroma has a hint of sweet citrus and spruce. Flavor is lively with some brief citrus, a touch of toffee, some nuttiness and an underlying spiciness that sits just right. Mouthfeel is thick enough. Solid.

Good aroma: floral hops, grains, coffee. Clean dark bread flavor, some rye. Mostly dry and a bit astringent. Good brew - one of Peak’s better offerings, and a nice seasonal surprise.

The aroma is malty and slightly tasted with citrus hops and chocolate. The appearance is amber with a foamy head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is smooth. Overall a beer that is good for what it says it is a session beer.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from Whole Foods. Pours darkly ruddy with a foamy off-white head. Pineapple? Maybe. And some roast malt. Near full body. Flavor is roast malt with a lot of hop flavor. Nicely bittingly bitter. This is dang flavorful stuff. Pineapple? Yeah, maybe, probably, ok, they say it is. Why not?
