2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle:   22oz bottle, roughly half of the beer foamed off, leaving only 11 or 12oz.   I’ve about had it with this brewery.   I have sat on this beer for just over 3 months, and in that time they all foam up, likely from some sort of infection.   Lets get down to the beer.   Deep burnt brown sugar in color, huge foamy tannish head, spotty lacing.   Airy powdery sugary nose, pixie stix, with soft, and I mean soft roasted malts.   Sweet vegetable beef stock on the tongue... FFS, drain pour.   More lost $ to this brewery!

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Nutty brown portery nose, some butter scotchy notes in there as well as hints of chocolate. Dark brown pour, nice creamy tan head. Flavors of cola, nuts, roast. Some butter. Dry, somewhat earthy, brown sugar. Somewhat flawed, interesting.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This is a good porter, not too much aroma. A very sticky chewy body but it has some hops and isn’t too thick. Good, just not really what I like, hard to define.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at brewpub: Medium brown with a creamy, off-white head with nice lace. Surprisingly flavorful porter. Rich and zingy. Chocolate, soft roast, creamed coffee and cocoa. Balanced bitterness. Lively carbonation. Smooth, medium body. Easy to drink and tasty.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
(Draught) Sampled at GCBF 2010 on September 10, 2010. Very sour nose and palate. Intense flavours thought the body was somewhat thin. Good hop citrus but uneventful.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
GCBF 2010, tap. Dark and hazy, earthy sweet chocolate aroma. Chocolate leads the palate, some toasty bready notes, treacle, light ash. Another great brew from Peak’s.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
2010-06-30. Hazy dark brown body with a small creamy beige head and thick lace. 4+ Flavour has a modest but pervasive roasty character, roasty bitterness with hints at coffee, sweet caramel malt base has light tangy touches, particularly in the finish. 6+ Milder aroma than expected, pleasant toasty roasty malt. Average palate is nicely smooth but a bit light for the beer. Sampler at the brewpub, Port Angeles

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
[3044-20100630] Tap. Mild smoky roast aroma with bread grains. Hazy, dark red amber body with a long-lasting creamy light tan head and some bubbly lacing. Toasted bread flavour has a long toasted sweet aftertaste. Medium-full body. Nice graininess.
