I’m going to be honest and say that the only reason I went out my way to purchase this beer is because my 91 year old grandmother used to drink it and she was unsure if they even made it any longer. Sure enough, I picked up a 12 pack for $6.73 at H-E-B and enjoyed a few of these brews with aceofhearts and granny. I use the term "enjoyed" very loosely. It was just as touching to see grandma smile as the beer was bad. Minimal test, just a step up from water in my opinion. Not at all surprised by the scant abv.

Holy cow, is that correct? 2.16% alcohol? That actually might make me like it more. Perhaps the most watery beer I’ve ever had. It’s only purpose is to serve as a chaser for whiskey.

7/24/10. This hot find was shipped my way by my main brah Cavie, fa sha duuude! Slammed from the can like a real man! Very light, plenty of corn and grain and a dash of metal, but otherwise somewhat clean - could definitely be worse. Could shotgun about 50 of these, brah!

In the can at Taste of Texas in San Antonio. This looks like beer: pale yellow with a puny white head of large carbonation bubble. However, any similarity with beer ends here. Metal bomb pop might be a better description. Just atrocious.

Can with absolutely no thanks to Cavie. Pour is very pale with a big white head. Aroma is actually kind of sweet and a little hoppy, but mostly rotten corn and bad grains. Taste is as skunked as anything I’ve ever had despite coming from a can. Bad grain, dirty finish. What a brew!

Can from ericandersnavy. A damn pretty can too. Pours gold with a four finger bubbly white head. Aromas of citrus and grain. Light bodied with sort of frothy carbonation. Flavor is grainy and lightly bitter. S’ok. What does one want it a light anyway? Like it’s really late, Galaxy Quest is in my ear, and the 16 year old princess kitty* is scratching my leg. And I’ve had a lot of beer. This is a good way to wind down!
*aka: The Walking Davy Crocket hat!

Something else that comes out of Texas. If I were you, I would stick to margheritas.
