Pearl Street Face Off Fall Lager

On tap at the brewpub, 12/10/07. Hazy caramel orange with a ring and film of off white-head, served too damn cold. Aroma of caramel malts, a bit of grainy malts, and maybe a hint of earthy hops. Flavor is a little bit grainier, though there’s still a fair amount of caramel--not too sweet, semidry finish. Low bitterness. Light to moderate carbonation with a medium body. Good beer.

Clear amber, no head. Nose is malt, caramel, light fruit, hops. Flavor is quite hoppy, caramel, green apple. Some brown sugar in the finish. Very prickly carbonation. Rich malty finish, quite clean.
