Apr 13, 2008 Lightly hazed dark golden color modest white head. Aromas of grain, grass and a hint of lemon zest. Some toasted malt and lemon-grass hops flavors. Also some sourdough that interrupts things. The sourness does add some quenching ability but is out of place.

Mar 3, 2008 Picked up a single 12-oz bottle at Festival Foods in LaCrosse, Wisconsin. Pours a light copper amber brew with a thick and lumpy off-white head that has some good retention and lacing. Aroma of some dry and toasted biscuits, grassy hops, and a touch of green vegetables. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated, flavors of mostly toasted dry grain malt, a touch of burnt popcorn, grassy hops and a slight toasted marshmallows. Finish is semi-dry with a mild bitterness that turns into a toasted grain malt. Not your average lager beer.
