2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Lightly hazy, pale yellow gold with a white head.
Odd, semi-sour, citrus-lactic scent.
Taste is grain, lemon, a mild grassy bitter...
Not much in the way of a traditional pilsner feel here.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 8/20
An easy drinking pilsner that claims to be heartily hopped, but it misses the mark. A funky aroma and very pale golden color. Very watery and not much flavor. Could pound a bunch of these in the summer, but there are better options out there.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Very pale clear yellow, almost no color at all, but a decent head. Light grassy. Light herbal/spice. Touch of fruitiness. Some sweetness. Extremely easy drinking light body. Crisp. Refreshing. Watery. Beasts the hell out of a macro.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Poured a light golden hue with medium head and lacing. Aroma was a mix of hops (citrus/pine) and malts. Taste was of a typical pilsner - highlights of hops with citrus/pine throughout with a slightly malty backbone. Palate was OK. Overall, this seemed almost like a semi-light pilsner given the extra light color appearance and slight thinness. It still had a decent taste though.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Ultra light yellow with a slowly fading mammoth pillowy white crown. Aroma is noble and grassy with boring saaz hops and a touch of bready malt. Taste is mildly sweet with grassy and noble hops and bland malt.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle
Picked up relatively fresh at Steve’s in Madison I cracked this open about a week after the Great Taste of the Midwest. Still bright and enjoyable it was a great relaxing beer after a long day. Pearl Street is a brewery worth checking out if you happen to run across their beers on the shelf.
Aroma / Appearance - A transparent golden body pours ambitiously resulting in a huge pillowy head. Wheaty and nutty the noble hops linger in the air. The blend of lemon crisps and waxy floors is like walking through a quiet cafeteria after hours.
Flavor / Palate - The fluid mouthfeel remains active from start to finish. Lemon zest, toasted whole wheat bread, and a mild bitterness are the main components of a solid release. There might be better beers out there but if you like supporting local breweries or just getting away from the big names this one is worth trying once.
