Waterfront Wheat: "watered down wheat may be a good title. honestly, it’s not bad, but it’s quite average for the style, which isn’t saying much. Another standard wheat beer."

They called this a German hefeweizen on the sign, but rated here as an American wheat and it tasted a bit like one. Crisp palate, citrus dominated a but of the German traits way in the background (clove + banana). Served with lemon. Hazy and pale.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazed yellow pour with creamy white head and lace. Aroma is pretty much just wheaty malt. Wheaty malt flavor with earthy and floral hops. Llight medium bodied but a touch fizzy.

2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Cloudy, tangerine colored body with a ring of head. Nose strikes a rather dank chord and the body is somewhat phenolic and rather funky. Wet shoe, sour twangy finish.

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
On tap at the bar pours hazy yellow. Nose is mostly malt an wheat, slight citrus element. Taste is similar to their pale... Diacyal. Yuck. Wtf? These beers are worse than my worst homebrew.

Sample #2 at the Pub. Translucent gold with virtually no head, no lacing....bananas and cream nose is sweet and rather one-dimensional though a bit of spice does show up as it warms. No real spicy/fruity character to speak of here until the finish. Strong mineralic content. Well, I expected some lemon flavor in this.
