Cask conditioned at Far From the Madding Crowd, Oxford. Reddish amber with white head. Initially a fair jolt of toffee, caramel to get through, butterscotch moving towards dryness and bitterness. Ends a fairly malty beer, didn’t get the new world hops too much. It’s ok, but not quite what was expected.

Cask @ The Crown & Anchor, Brixton. Deep reddish amber with a small head. The nose is fairly faint - some light red berries, general caramel maltiness, light spruce. The taste is more caramel, some bread. Light red apple skin. Hints of herbal hop on the finish, lemon peel. A bitter with a twist, basically. Light body, pretty smooth and easy to drink. Overall, a pretty solid beer. Worth a try.
