4.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Complex taste with deep aroma, dark appearance, but malty mildly sweet taste with lighter than expected body, soft on the palate and without a prolonged finish. Overall a great beer for almost any occasion.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours dark brown with a medium and lingering tan head. Aroma is heavier in roasted malts. That goes along with caramel, mild chocolate, raisin, and licorice. The taste hits you with caramel and chocolate initially. I find maple and some coffee flavors after the sipping. Still quite roasty. Aftertaste of caramel and maple sticks with you for awhile, although it isn’t very heavy. There is some sweetness in this one as well. Medium bodied, with a slick and thicker texture, while having average carbonation. This one is different, and its pretty good.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aroma is dark/roasted malts and hints of fruit and sweetness. The flavor is roasted malts, dark bread, light fruit and a mildly bitter finish. With the roasted malts it was somewhat similar to a dry stout, pretty good.

Got this as part of a beer club offering. I was surprised to find out this is a new company even though it is brewed at Minhas in Monroe WI. The appearance is awesome along with the foamy head. The mouthfeel is typical of a lager - on the thin side, but this is not inappropriate. Flavor wise, there is a lot going on. It’s on the sweet side, almost cloyingly so. I really like this beer!

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
these guys didn’t get a good contact, its a lager that probably was pushed out in mere days, funky yeast tones, totally irregular for a lager.

The appearance is what you would expect, a deep brown to black. Aroma has a very strong chocolate/caramel nose. The taste has caramel notes. Overall very good!!

Hazy darkish brown amber. Malty nose and pretty sweet taste. Easy to drink. Refreshing for a dark beer.

Bottle. The pour is a nice reddish brown with nice head that hangs around the rim. The aroma is big roasted malt and some dark dried fruits. The taste is a complex mix. Some malt, but a lot more toffee and burnt nuts than anything. A very interesting and flavorful beer.
