BEST DARK BEER I’VE HAD IN AWHILE. FULL FLAVORED BUT VERY SESSIONABLE BEER. THE ROASTED MALT IS WHAT HIT ME IN THE AROMA AND THE FLAVOR. THE POUR IS DARK BUT HAS A RED TINGE. LABELING IS VERY COOL. I WISH PECATONICA MADE MORE THAN 3 BEERS. -OUT OF A BOTTLE

On tap at Jackpot Junction casino. Dark with small brown head. Taste- caught me off guard. Really vinous and syrupy. Flavors of plum, raisin and red wine vinegar. I don't know, maybe I had a bad pour but I didn't like it.

1.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Pours dark brownish amber, decent beige head. Aroma is caramely and grainy, faint chocolate. Similar unpleasant flavor notes of other beers brewed here. That overripe/rotten fruit taste with syrupy caramel and grain, this time with some light cardboardy roast. Lighter medium body. Finishes syrupy sweet with light roast. Not too enjoyable.

Not too bad, really. Decent aroma, body, & appearance. Flavor reminds me a bit of a soft drink and carbonation is a tad aggressive. Finish is like flavor, yet not too bad. You could do a lot worse. This might be the best beer out of this brewery. I could see having another of these.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a brownish mahogany with a small tan head. Nose is malty. Very creamy on the palate with good viscosity. Sweet malt flavors greet the taste buds with some caramel/toffee overtones. A hint of hops on the finish. Quite flavorful, a bit sweet. Pairs well with pastrami, cheese and rye bread.
