1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Sweet malty nose. Light body - thin actually - hardly any malts but very metallic. Ends dry and sulphurous. Poor indeed. 230311

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
500ml twist off brown bottle.
It pours your standard gold, but struggles to form a head it is tiny and quickly dissipates.
The smell is of cooked veggies, grain, and not much hops.
The flavor has a subtle sweetness, some paper, a bit of spice, not any hops.
This is an EPL, book it, horrible for the style.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500ml split with DarkBeerChick. Poured a deep honey colored body with a quickly receding bubbly head. Aroma is fruity, lightly sweet, raisins(?) and malty. Flavors were lightly malty, medium sweet (caramel), grainy and a floral hop finish. This was much better than I had thought it would be.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Specís in downtown Houston. Originally, my hubby and I tried this at Silver Eagle Distributorís fall tasting and we were surprised at how good it was considering Italians arenít known for their beer. :) It pours golden yellow with light white head and gentle lacing. The aroma reminds me of a Belgian - sweet, fruity with hints of clove, spice and banana. Itís light and refreshing, but the taste isnít as bold as itís aroma. In fact, itís a little TOO light in flavor, but would be a great thirst quencher on a hot Texas day. Flavor is a mix of fruit, hay and something else I canít quite put my finger on...different, but good.
