At the brewery. I usually thoroughly enjoy IPAs, but this one is just bitter with not much else going on.

(Tap) Way overly-bitter IPA with no character. Citrus hops. So bitter. No thanks.

Hazy golden color with medium sized head. I appreciate the mouthfeel, dry with a smack, it also has some toffee and cereals qualities, but it doesn’t deliver enough; the aroma is limited, the hops are very resiny, but just mildly fruity; very strong bitterness.
I’m thinking of a non fresh Pale Ale. Not totally bad, but it could aspire to higher levels.

Tap @ Peddler. hazy golden color with ivory head. Citrusy , tropical fruit aromas. medium body. Dry, hoppy bitter pine , spice flavors with a dusty pale malt base ----drying finish--not bad

From 22oz bottle to shaker. Decent IPA, kind of bland and simple. Not horrible ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Peddler. Pours pale golden orange with thin white head that laces well. Aroma is dense chewy caramel malt with sharply bitter, medicinally floral hops on the back. Taste is thick sweet caramel malt, again with harshly bitter hops that linger well past the finish. Some nice faint grapefruit, citrus, and floral notes in the hops here, but just decimated by the overwhelming bitterness. Some definite promise here, just doesn’t quite come together.

On tap at Peddler, pours a clear dull golden copper with a small white head. Nose of earthy, herbal hops, some pine and biscuity malt. Flavour is way too malt-heavy, with syrupy caramel overshooting the resinous hops big time. There is a big astringency on the finish, with a cloying syrupy quality as well. Exactly how not to brew an IPA. Not good.

Draught in a flight at the brewpub at a WABL event. Pours a mostly clear amber color. Nose is not good - has the smell of isovaleric acid in there (dirty feet). Taste is slightly and has a slight sweaty foot element to it. Sad, because I really wanted to try a good version of this.

22 oz. bottle. "On Your Left India Pale Ale", 7.3% ABV. Pours a slightly translucent amber with a good-looking medium white head. Aroma is pleasant but mild - citrus and floral hops with a bit of caramel. A hoppy melange of piney, resinous, citrus flavors atop a solid, moderately sweet malt foundation. Flavor gets a little thin on the finish, but the lingering bitterness is strong. A good NW IPA.

Draft at Ballard brewpub. Huge foam on bronze-orange beer. Soft hops. Creamy sweet IPA. Big full sweetness. Wheaty malt. Cereal grain. Ok, best beer here.
