Clear dark orange to amber beer, irregular creamy off-white to light beige head, little stable, adhesive. Aroma: very fruity, ripe apples, some citrus, bit sweet, soapy. Pretty light and drinkable, but not very interesting.

Bottle from Beer Planet, Brussels, 30A4 23/07/2011, probably 1 year too old
Cloudy amber color with generous compact head. Quite nice aroma of spicy yeast, brown sugar, and light fruits. Good body strength; the mouthfeel is soft, smooth; it has a good malt flavor, with some residual sweetness, a nice honey touch (mix of buckwheat honey and chestnut honey); the bitterness level is medium-low; it has indeed a trace of oxidisation in the end.
A good beer, maybe a bit oldish.

(Bottled, BBE 15 Maart 2013) Hazy deep, dark red with a medium, firm and lacy head. Lots of sweet caramel and dried fruit in the nose. Flavor is also extremely caramely, sweetish-malty, dried-fruity and somewhat yeasty. No hop or alcohol presence. Quite full body, bit sticky, soft CO2. Quite strange; I’m not a huge Strubbe fan, nor do I love sweet beers in general - yet I somehow liked this a lot. This is more like Silly Scotch, than Tripel, IMO - a dessert drink. 6137
