Cask; Regular. Also available bottled. Previously Betwixt Storr.
Storr’ is a pale and hoppy cask pilsner. The name Storr’ is derived from the old Norse word meaning great or strong.
Using specialist lager yeast and brewing vessels, Storr undergoes a slow fermentation process, followed by a month of cold conditioning to allow the clean, crisp flavours to develop. Though Continental in style, Storr gains its fresh citrus hop finish and pleasant malt backbone solely from the use of UK-grown lager malt & Sovereign hedgerow hops.

500ml bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of herbal hops, spice. Taste is paracetamol, mineral, spice. But sweet in the middle, just like me!

Bottle from Ship In A Bottle. Appearance - golden with a thin white head. Nose - citrus and green herbs and light spice. But a bit honey sweet. Taste - has the Saaz spice on the taste again. Not sure if it uses that hop, but that’s what I’m getting. A bit metallic. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - solid.

Gravity at the Battersea Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear golden, with a halo of white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, lime and caramel. Some citrus hop in the flavour, with bready malt and peaches. Finish was crisp, with some grapefruit and biscuity malt.

Bottle. Golden appearance with a small head. Slightly hoppy with a quite subtle bitterness. Much more like a special bitter than a lager. My first ftom this brewery and quite impressive..

Gateshead beer fest. To me, they’ve got the style spot on. Gold. white head, faint grass & cereal aroma. Quite juicy for a lager. Slightly oily palate. Nice

Bottle from Global Wines, Bearwood. Sweet, corny malts. Seems disgusting, but the back end reveals very pleasant lagery smoothness. A mixed bag: macro rubbish, rubbed with earnest pleasure.

Gravity dispense at the 23rd Battersea Beer Festival - 06/02/13. Clear pale blonde wiyth a thin white head that clears to the edge. Nose is pale malt, grass, light hops, citrus, fruits. Taste comprises grain, pale malt, grass, light fruit. Medium bodied with soft carbonation, some bitterness in the finish. Pretty average and on the dull side.
