0,50L on tap at Pegas brewpub in Brno. Hazy, dark golden colour with creamy white head, that dissipate soon. Waiter served us this beer with two slices of lemon, hidden under head, so aroma was mostly lemony. I tried beer this way and pull the lemon out. After two-three minutes I get some banana and wheat on nose, too. Taste starts slightly acidic and turns into light bitter at the end. Medium body, oily texture and lively carbonation. I’m still wondering, why lemon in the beer?

Draught: Mainly citrus, lemon and lemon peel aroma. Hazy, pale golden color, quickly diminishing head. Flavor is wheaty, notes of citrus, citrus peel, hops.

(Rating #4844)

On tap at the brewpub (04/03/13). Hazy gold pour with frothy white head oh wha’ts this? A lemon wedge... Aroma of lemon, lemon, lemon, faint wheaty character, light clove a disappearing hint of banana. Pretty boring, lemony, citrusy. Palate is a bit watery. Bah.

MartinT (7677) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 11, 2013
My Bottom Line:
Overbearing lemon smothers cloves and wheat in this disappointing Weissbier attempt.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-Served with a lemon wedge under the creamy foam...
-Banana esters appear here and there.
-Carbonation is lower than the average Weissbier’s.
-Had there been no lemon wedge, this might have been more engaging. Had no idea it was going to be served with the lemon though...

On tap at the brewpub.

Pours cloudy golden with a white head. Served with 5-6 slices of lemon, which was quickly removed. Aroma was malt, heavy lemon and light grass. Flavour is caramel, heavy butter, citrus, grass and light pine.

Keg at Pegas. Pale Lemon yellow with a white head. Served with a slice of lemon ( which I quickly ejected). Watery, light wheat character. Acidic. A failure.
