Sample pour of deep burnt caramel with khaki head. Nose is really nice. Smooth roasted malts without being overdone. Sweet notes in the back. Flavor is smooth malts, very light spice and a great vanilla note... Really a nice vanilla finish. Very drinkable and pleasant.

A nice reddish brown ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a nice roasted nutty malt with light coffee and British hops. In mouth, a nice roast malt with grassy British hops, sweet nuttyness, decent. On tap at brewpub, Dec. 8 2012.

Tap at Pegs Cantina. Dark crimson-brown pour with a white head. Dry nuttiness, toasted malts, very full flavored. I’m digging this.

Draft. Poured a clear dark brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with excellent lacing. Moderate toasted malt, nuts and hop aroma. Medium body with a smooth slick texture and soft carbonation. Solid balanced toasted sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

On draft at Peg’s. Pours a medium brown with a white head. Nose is a nice blend of cocoa, chocolate, coffee, and hints of tobacco. Flavor is similar- coffee, cocoa, some nuts, and nice hints of bitterness. Medium in body and a very nice brown overall.

Tap at Peg’s. Pours a deep brown with soapy, mocha foam. Nose is heavier roasted coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is bitter coffee, cocoa powder, heavier porter notes. Palate is heavy, thick. Quite roasty and rich. I’d put this under porter instead of brown ale.

On draft at Peg’s, poured a dark brown color, witha aromas of chocolate, espresso, malt, and some nuts. Flavors are the same, with a touch of cream added to it, decent beer overall.
