3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
This one poured a dark brown with a big tan head. Aroma was light barrel, chocolate, medium roast and mild lactic notes. Flavor was lacking in barrel, mainly soy and medium roast, and mild astringency, not bad, but lacking refinement to be great.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 17/20
Mini-growler of the latest release as of this date from Tony. Aroma and flavor is smooth whiskey, chocolate caramel, and toasted malts. I'm not going to say too much more because I think this had some traces of Pedio, which tarted it up some and made the edges bright for me. Hopefully, I get this one again, as I loved RareR. Good beer.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
UPDATED: AUG 23, 2013 Thanks Joe. Pours an oily black with a tan head. Some aroma of whiskey and some soy. Aroma of chocolate and vanilla. Slight heat in the taste. Maybe slightly infected but not too off.
Edit: had another and no signs of infection. Pure deliciousness all amount. Whiskey aroma and great amount of heat.

Swingtop growler sampled at Natifest 2013. Deep dark brown color. Minimal khaki head. Couple loose bits of lace. Awesome, big barrely aroma. Tannins, some vanilla, light spice. OK, so this is a bit tart. I don’t mind, but from here on out I’m looking at this as a sour stout (which I usually enjoy anyway). Bigger body. Some chewiness. Good, sour stout.

Growler. Thanks Hallinghansen for the sample. Pours black with bubbles on top. Chocolate, roast, wood, vanilla and raisins. Smooth and oily. Downright tasty and delicious. Fine barrel complexity. Thanks Jacob.

an odd sour stout, the bourbon and the tartness do not work together, the infection is really weird, oh well, why does tampa infect so many beers?

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Growler traded by Sean9689, thanks buddy. Pours black with a forever lasting medium light brown head. Nice lacings. Aroma is lots of roast, malt, chocolate, oak, bark, dark fruit, light hoppy, whiskey notes. Flavour is dark chocolate, roasted malt, whiskey, oak, dark fruit, bitter coffee, hops, tart cherry notes. Long coffee/chocolate aftertaste. Well balanced. The alcohol thickles in the mouth. Medium carbonation. This is great. Beerporn.

Growler with thanks to 50belair!! Pours opaque black, medium dark brown head, nice lacing. Aroma is roast, bourbon, something a bit odd, tart, funky. Flavor is the same, light sweet, light tart, medium astringence. Full body, creamy mouthfeel. Ummm, infected?

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
500 ml swingtop growlers shared by Steve and dudeabide at Natifest- thanks, guys! Pours a deep brown, not quite opaque, with a small tan ring for a head. Looks good, but not as dark as RareR or Nooner appeared. Aroma is heavy on dark fruits- plum, berry, figs, as well as brown sugar, oak, chocolate, and a little whiskey warmth. Flavor is equally fruity, and has some vanilla, chocolate, and oak. Medium-bodied, with moderate carbonation and a smooth, sweet, fruity mouthfeel. A bit one-dimensional, and disappointing, especially compared to the Nooner.
