Tap at the brewery. IMO this is best in show in a night that included Rare DOS, Rare Vanilla, Fast Breaker, Nooner, Coffee Vanilla, and Fixie. Still black pour that coats the glass as it touches the edge. Aroma of rum and French vanilla ice crew. Taste is very similar. Sofa king good. Full in the mouth. Delicious.

Draft at Pegs with Maggi during the barrel aged event. Pours a black body with thin brown lacing. Aroma is vanilla, oak and molasses. Mouthfeel is smooth and creamy with notes of rich vanilla, chocolate, light coconut, brownie and molasses. Awesome.

Growler, big thanks to Adam! Aroma: layers of chocolate and vanilla, roast, coffee, toffee and molasses, pleasant sweetness, notes of rum spiciness and barrel. Appearance: jet black opaque pour, a dusting of brown head, little lacing. Flavor: very rich chocolate, nice vanilla and caramel, coffee, roast malts, mellow sweetness, rum and oak, some spice, coconut, low-medium bitterness. Palate: full body, low carbonation, very smooth and drinkable. Overall: wow, an excellent brew! Well balanced, smooth, nicely integrated flavors.

Pours an opaque black from the growler with no real head or lacing but a nice brown film on the glass. Aroma of candied nuts, sweet vanilla and chocolate, a boozy middle, and a nice oaky finish. The taste follows, tastes more like a bourbon barrel than a rum barrel, but very well blended and easy to drink for what it is. What a treat, thanks for the share!

From a growler/bottle, not sure who brought this but Beau alerted me its presence and may have poured me some. Thanks for looking out, roomie! He is quite good at this and it is very much appreciated. Tasty stuff no doubt. Did not really notice the rum barrels but it was nicely balanced.

Flip-top growler from the official release thanks to burg326. Wow- so excited to try this. Inky black pour. Weaker mocha head. Nose is vanilla, hazelnut, praline, waxy dark chocolate, malted milk balls, cocoa powder. Taste is excellent, woah, so much praline, amaretto, toasted almond, brownie, hazelnut/Nutella, dark cherry, malted milk balls. Palate is lighter, easy to drink, a tad thin and lemony. But overall the experience is sublime and really amazing. Definitely worth it.

Growler shared at RBWG, poured adark black color with aromas of fudge, earth, vanilla, booze (almost rum cake like), and roasted malt. Flavors are th same a great blend where each sip made me wanting more and more of it.

Growler. Thick raisin and rum flavors. Missing the roasted cocoa background. Sweet one.

2/23/13. Small flip-top bottle thanks to burg326/b3shine. Thanks, guys! Rich black pour with a small tan head. Awesome BA aroma, richness, cocoa, coffee, and more. Rich, tasty flavor as well with plenty of rum BA, spice, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, and lingering sweetness. Tasty!
