Dark golden with a nice head. The aroma has notes of flower and caramel. The flavour is sweetish with notes of caramel and fruit. The finish is dry and hoppy. Charming, but not outstanding.

Bottled, 330ml, Pasteurised. Amber with white head, carbonised. Quite a dryish beer for Pelforth with a grainy malt body, some husky nut notes and even a touch of hops on the finish. Reasonable without being in any shape or form a classic.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Koelschtrinker (8470) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - JUN 10, 2011
Sanft herb-malziger Antrunk.
Danke an quack-duck.

Bouteille (Merci, Quack-Duck!): Deep golden to light amber coloured, stable and lacy beige head; caramalt, toasted malt and a tinge of hops in the nose; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, only light bodied, quite unusual for a beer of 6.0%; short malty and slightly hoppy finish. Drinkable.........
3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Travlr (7951) - Washington, Washington DC, USA - JUL 29, 2011
OK, entering this beer is sure to touch off the discussion, seen in the forums many times, about whether to enter beers like this that are found in other countries, but brewed here inAfrica. I have no idea if the recipe is different. Label says "Brasserie et embouteillee sous licence intenationale par SOBOA Dakar Senegal." SOBOA is the French term for the society of brewers of west africa. So,you make the call. This one, courtesy of USAID, was a clear chestnut color, small beige head with poor retention. Aroma of caramel and light smoke. Taste had a sweet caramel start withabitterand peppery finish. One way or the other, it’s nice to see something besides a lager brewed in west Africa.

Aroma consists of toffee and grain, while the appearance is tan/red. This beer has a sweet and sour character and a slightly "off" character. Its OKish.

bottle. Clear golden-brown colour, medium-sized head. Aroma of roasetd malt and caramel. Malty flavours with hints of caramel and roasted malt, slightly fruity. Hoppy and dry in the finish.
3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DruncanVeasey (6101) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Premier, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - FEB 27, 2007
UPDATED: MAY 8, 2007 650ml fliptop. Deep bronze pour with a generous white head. Candyish, slightly honeyish nose. Caramel, candy sugar and honey sweetness. Some of the creamy, slightly roasted maltiness of the Brune with a more assertively bitter and faintly metallic finish. Uncomplicated, but pleasant enough.
