Aroma: caramel, malty, sweet. Appearance: clear amber color and amazing creamy head. Taste: semi-sweet, low bitterness, caramel, roasted notes, quite smooth. Palate: medium body and medium carbonation, semi-sweet finish. Overall: Rather sweet like hell. Quite drinkable, but nothing special.

Bottle. Brown with some red notes, clear, small and fast disapearing head. Aromas of caramel, little bit of honey, some roasted malts. Sweet from start to finish, light to medium body with pleasant, but too sweet, mouth feel. Light alcohol feeling. Not bad but nothing special.

UPDATED: MAY 13, 2016 Aroma: some honey, some malts, a little caramel, later also a bit of alcohol; sounds nice but it has this characteristic Euro-lager note in the background spoiling the fun. Appearance: caramel; clear; head largish, fairly stable. Taste: quite sweet, a bit too much in fact, a little sour, a bit bitter. Palate: body medium; carbonation average; mouth feel spicy and a bit corrosive; finish spicy, pretty sweet, a bit astringent. Overall: not great but also not too bad; better than average, and certainly better than your average Heineken.

I bought this beer at the G20 in Paris. To be honest, this one is better than the blonde. At the nose, we can smell the caramel. The body is brown and white and thin foam. The taste is sweet but it is also a bit smocked and bitter, well balanced. The final note is watery but it is ok.

Deep red/brown colour, yellowish head is thin and vanishes quickly. Aroma has a vague sirupy sweetness with some background notes of chocolate and coffee. Taste is sweet from start to finish. Caramel and not much else that i can pick upfront, a hint of coffee in the finish, but still sweet. Still feels decent due to a silky, smooth mouthfeel. Body is medium, carbonation is very gentle. Not that it’s bad, it’s just plain boring and not worthy
