Bottle--#23 in the 2006 Europe tour--I drank this while sitting on a deck overlooking the French Alps in Grenoble. Dark brown with a large head. The aroma was of fruits and caramel. The taste started off sweet with caramels, malts and nuts. A perfect brew for a perfect evening after a long day of work.

Malty and somewhat sweet, but not in a bad way, I usually don’t like too sweet, this wasn’t, it had a nice malty flavor. I was suprised by this one a little bit! Bought at LeClerc, Cruetzwald, France.

(on a clear, 75ml bottle with swingtop)Dark reddish brown colour, small white head. Sent of a few rotten apples, red grapes and caramel. Fresh carbonated and surpricingly full flavour. Really a nice mouthfull; light chocolates, malts and a twist of rye. Soft finish, easy drinkable.

Bottled. A malty nutty aroma to this muddy brown coloured beer. The taste is also malty, nutty and sweet. A good Dunkel.

(tap at the Dachsbau, Krefeld) Dark brown coloured hue with a slightly off-white creamy layer. Yeasty and fruity nose of dried plums with a touch of caramel. Sweet malty taste with dried fruits, mainly plums, bittersweet malty and slightly vinous finish. Decent Dunkel.

On tap (Dachsbau, Krefeld) Very dark amber coloured, thin but stable fluffy off- white head; dry fruity (plums) and sweet malty nose; slightly bitter and sweet flavour; fruity (raisins) and malty finish with a tinge of bitterness. A decent brew from France, much better than the bland Lagers from there........
