3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
33 cl bottle. Poured a clear brown color. Head was thick and off white with good retention and lacing. Aroma and flavor was of malty chocolate and subdued molasses accented by dark cherry. Slightly sweet on the tongue and medium bodied. Not bad.

3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A wonderful looking beer in the glass, dark with a light filmy white head. Unfortunately the smell wasn’t nearly as inspiring, but the flavor was nice in the mouth, immediately noticeable was a sweet overtone and hints of chocolate. The finish started nicely, but ended a little stale in the throat and left me with mixed feelings. It was slightly artifical tasting, a definitely a little strange. A really thought I could love this beer, but the finish held me back from giving it a higher rating. Try for yourself, I a sure at worse you will find it better then average. Cheers.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
[Bought at Korsika in 2003.] Very special beer on the limit to be too much sweet. Notes of caramel, caramel and caramel and also not the best hoppy flavor. Rather unbalanced.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Tried this on in Lyon in April-07. Not too bad for a French beer. It poured a brown-red colour with a decent beige head. The taste was quite sweet with roasty malts and caramel notes. Doesn’t say much but the best French beer I’ve tried
