On tap at Doelen café. Hazy yeasty pour with thin bubbly white head. Aroma is really spicy, yeasty, light Belgian notes, a bit grainy. Taste is super spicy, light husky metallic notes. Palate is med bodied, muddy light prickly carbonation.

On tap @ Doelen Café. Hazy golden/orange with a small white head and good lacing. Aroma is spicy with yeast, fruity notes, malt and hints of alcohol. Taste is spicy and floral with a ton of yeast and light fruitiness. Medium body. Moderate prickly carbonation. Spicy finish. That’s pretty bad and not easy to drink, too spicy and yeasty.

33cl Bottle, thanks Harmen! The beer is just called Stoombier according to the label (De Pelgrim Rotterdam Stoombier). Slightly hazy golden yellow colour, white head. Aroma of nice bready malts and classic hops, citrus, dry, chalky. Flavour is light to medium-sweet, malty, bread, citrus, nice dry hoppy bitter finish with a light yeasty note. Light-bodied. Lovely refreshing beer imho, vaguely like a XX Bitter-light.

Poured a hazy light amber with a small white ring. Aroma of zesty fruit, light malt. Medium body, flavour of light citrus, quite dry and bitter, astringent end. Not really much roast malt.

Rastacouere (6129) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 16, 2007
Clear light amber, gentle 1cm white head leaving timid lacing. Quite grainy, soft and malty ale with a mild smoky touch and almost no hop aromas. Rather mineral mouth presence with a stoney dryness that hampers the soft and toasted caramel tones. It’s all in lightness and lacks a proper closing act, just lingering grainy notes. Average.

Tap, Doelencafé Rotterdam. Traubenzucker aroma and flavor. Blonde, cloudy. Citrus flavor with the first signs (and maybe even more) of an upcoming infection.Remaining hops in the aftertaste. What has happened to this brewery?
