Surfers know all too well that ankle-buster waves are barely big enough to surf on, but our Ankle-Buster Ale is bound to create a big wave. With an herbal hop character, fruity/spicy Belgian yeast aromas, toasty and caramel-like malt flavor, and a clean dry finish, Ankle-Buster carves its own path to refreshing, flavorful beer. Best enjoyed with both feet planted on sand.

Hazy dark gold under a thin white cap. Big estery yeast nose with some pepper and dough and a bit of sweet mango. Flavor has a doughy and dusty bit of mango and apple with some light peppery hops and a little clove as well. Not shabby.

Pours two fingers of foamy head on a clear medium straw colored body. The aroma is floral with some lemon grove. The taste is well balanced, lemon zest, honey and grapefruit. The texture is crisp with moderate carbonation. Drinkable and delicious.

22oz bomber pours a slightly hazy amber color with a thick white heat that leaves medium lacing. Smells of belgian yeast, pepper, spices and caramel. Tastes of all the same things in the smell with a nice yeasty bananna flavor. Mouthfeel is light and creamy with decent carbonation. Nice and refreshing belgain pale ale. Typical flavor profile but nice use of ingredients. Would definetly drink this again.

Clear orange-copper with creamy, off-white head / Light, fresh nose of banana, citrus, caramel, soap, and straw / Light to medium body, watery, with soft carbonation, otherwise good balance and lightly bitter finish / Weak (watery) flavors of toast, dark caramel, banana, orange, / I like Pelican and assume that the body problems will get fixed in the future batches.

Cloudy dark yellow body with a long lasting white head. The aroma is light fruit and perfume along with a characteristic Belgian funkyness. The flavor is lightly sweet with a dry finish. Not overly complex but a nice light Belgian Ale just the same.
