COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout...Bad Santa has arrived. This mysterious dark elixir is filled with complex malt flavors and aromas. The toasted malt and roast character blend seamlessly to the alluring citrus and herbal hop aroma that comes from copious amounts of Ahtanum hops.

Bomber from Malt & Vine (2011). Pours very dark brown with strong garnet glints in the sun. Beige head. Aroma is chocolate and mysterious. Seems floral. Full almost body. Flavor is chocolate and floral. Then treacle pops up. Excellent.

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours jet black with a pretty tan head and a treacle aroma. There is a dark molasses, raisin and anise flavor enhanced with a generous helping of fuggles hops. There is a dark chocolate note left on the palate.

Dark black in color, clear with a thin head. Decent hops aroma and flavor. The malt was roast with flavor and crisp in the finish. This was a tad bitter in the finish.

Clear dark brown. I taste tart fruited hops with caramel. Anise and roasted notes. Just ok butbit is not a favoritevstyle of mine.

22 oz. bottle, split 4 ways, pours a deep dark brown / black with a small beige head. Aroma is both very roasty and hoppy, with burnt / charred roasted malts and some dark dried fruits. Flavour is fruity, roasty and hoppy - with dark dried fruits and roasted malts upfront, with the citrus hops following - not hugely hoppy though.

Bottle. Black pour with thick lasting head. Resiny and piney aroma, lingering on the nose. Full bodied, with malty roast notes amid the hoppy flavour. Hop finish

Not quite opaque, and nearly black, with a thick and foamy beige head. Aroma is a mix of caramel sweetness, roast malt, and some piny hops. Flavor is upfront roasted malt quickly countered by stinging hop bitterness, finishing sweet and bitter. A tasty, solid CDA.

Nose of dark roast, a touch of sweet caramel, earthy herbal hops, a touch of black licorice. Pours more or less black, underlying brownish hues, creamy tan head. The flavor starts roasty, moves through an earthy hop bitterness, a little dank, floral, pine, light caramel sweetness, and a chewy medium bitter finish. Dry roast lingers. Good.
