You better watch out, you better not cry, you better not pout...Bad Santa has arrived. This mysterious dark elixir is filled with complex malt flavors and aromas. The toasted malt and roast character blend seamlessly to the alluring citrus and herbal hop aroma that comes from copious amounts of Ahtanum hops.

Bomber from Bottleworks on my PASS trip shared with ck1. Pours a dark brown with a white-ish head. Aroma has dark bakers chocolate, fruit and some grass. Taste is of bakers chocolate, roasted malts, coffee grounds and sweet fruit. A bit rough with the coffee grounds. Lotta flavor. Very bitter malts in the finish. I got some of Tsunami in it ... from my vague memories of that nice brew. ck1 and I agree "15".

Bomber from Grocery Outlet. 7.5% abv. Very dark in color, pretty much black. Roasty nose with a good deal of hoppiness. Hops and roastiness are pretty well balanced. Pretty potent. Very dry roasted finish.

Meant to try this at Christmas, or before, but Santa was hiding...Bad Santa. The liquid is deep brown, almost black with a fluffy, khaki head; thick, soft and rocky at the start. Reminds me of sea foam, but in a tasty, malty sort of way. The aroma is slight, but nice; roasted malts with a citrus accent that almost takes over the scent as you breathe in. The lace on the glass is nice, consistent and in rings. A dark cherry is present in the flavor as I sip at the liquid, pulling it across my tongue a experiencing a moderately carbonated brew. This is comfortably dry, but with a little stickiness at the corners of my mouth, and I am disappointed as the flavor turns to a flat bitter with the swallow. No flavor at all in the afterward, but the bitter hangs tough. Not a great finish, but the flavor of this while you’re in it, is very nice. I had a great time, Santa, but next time be just a little badder?

Pours out a nice opaque black with abundant fluffy beige head. Mellow roast grain aroma, some sharp hop bitterness in the taste to accent the dark malts, but finishes fast and kind of weak.

Pours deep brown with a tan head. Dank nose with plenty of orange peel and pine, some roast under than. Thick creamy mouthfeel, bigger than the 6.7% should allow, heavily sugared coffee and hop resins. Totally drinkable, enjoyable even, but short of exceptional.

Bottle, brought back from Oregon. Roasted malt aroma with notes of citrus and pine hops. Pours black with decent light brown head with pretty good retention and very little lacing. Starts with strong roasted malt flavors with a but of caramel. Finishes dry with the citrus and pine hops taking the lead. Good black ipa.

Poured from a 22. Nice dark color. Looks very inviting! Aroma is a bit roasty with hints of pine. Flavor is not a roasty as I expected. Definitely has a sweetness to it, berry-like. Has a bitter yet creamy finish.
