Small to medium sized beige foamy head. The aroma is caramel malts, dark fruit, brown sugar and molasses. A medium to full bodied abbey quad. The malts are caramel and sweet with lots of dark fruits, plums and cherries. Lots of yeast and fruity esters. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Hides the alcohol well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Aroma of sweet toasty dark caramel and plums with a good balance of Belgian yeasty esters. Body starts fairly full, rich and dark caramely malty sweet with nice light fruits esters before a smooth dark caramel and milk chocolate finish with some doughy yeasty notes before a drier finish.
