Huge Cascade hop aroma, the subtle malty sweetness, and the spicy, citrusy flavor of this robust, gold colored ale.

Ok beer bought while camping near Newport,OR. Comes in the usual plain brown Pelican bomber. Very nice looking ale when poured, its slighly darker than the usual IPA..almost amber with a huge creamy/frothy off white head Wonderful spicy hppy aroma.Very pungent but extra fresh. Mm this is a "hop heads"IPA..very strong Cascade hop presence..though there is a noticable malty background..but really its hops, hops, hops on this baby. Very nice and smooth on the palate, nice warm after taste. Nice and drinkable especiually after drinking "swill".

Pours a hazy amber with a tall white head. Lots of citrus hop aroma. Taste was well balanced with a tons of bitterness toward the end and a faint hint of grapefruit in the finish. A good smooth IPA.

UPDATED: APR 16, 2005 7 May 2004 - Sampled 2004AIBA - Passionfruit and hops galour aroma. Cloudy amber colour, small head and lacing. Lacks malt depth or character. Too bitter for me but I guess this is an IPA so this is what you’d expect. Stick to the tongue hops that I don’t like. It seems that this is a beer that polarises opinion, like Orval. You either love it or rate it lower.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2005 Clear pale orange color with a good head and lacing. Nice citrus/floral nose. Nice grapefruit/pine notes in the bitterness. Finish is dry. NIce IPA From the bottle 7 months later. Great color, aroma, and flavor! It holds up like a champ. More of a lingering bitterness than I remembered. Good IPA.

A big hop monster of a beer 70+ IBUs. It’s got a great malty sweetness and a wonderful (classic PNW) Cascade/Centennial hop flavor and aroma. The hops do tend to coat your tongue though.

Light cherry gold color, crimson edges if you will, lots of sticky lacing & good head retention. The aroma is full of fresh grapefruit & floral cascade hoppy notes; very fresh. The flavor has a nice piney mouthfeel like hop juice & a nice granola sweet malt finish. Well balanced, good body, good IPA.

Deep golden brown with a tight head. Fruity aroma full of cascade hops. Fruity citric hop flavor leads into a bready mlat body. Finishes with a big floral hop flavor and a nice bitterness. Very nice, well balanced IPA

UPDATED: APR 25, 2008 Brilliant copper body and snow-white head. Nice aroma and flavor of grapefruit, spruce and pine. Intense, palate-wrecking quality bitterness. Hops overpower a bit, but take you for a fun ride.
