4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours with a creamy, tantalizing head that unfortunately doesn’t stay in full force. Mandarin-copper in color, it is very translucent. The hoppy flavor of this beer isn’t as pronounced as the nose first suggests it will be. The taste is balanced and pleasant, but the after taste loses any note of malt presence then fades quickly. Good, but not as good as I remember it on tap at the Portland Spring Brew Fest this year where it was my favortie beer in show.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at the Tap Room in Tillamook. Mild bright malty nose. Light straw color. Thick, syrupy maltiness in initial / goes to a sort of bitterness and then balances quickly. Medium body. Thick and rich, but not really as tasty as an imperial should be.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to glass. About 3 months old. Pours a clear golden light amber color with a frothy off white head. Aroma is citrusy, piney, floral, with a moderate malty sweetness and some alcohol heat. Flavor is quite bitter with a floral piney malty sweetness. Smell spice character as well. Medium body with an astringent finish. Quite boozy. Good, but wish I would have had it a bit closer to the bottling date.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle. Pours a very opaque orange-amber color with a moderate white head on it. Nose is fairly floral to me, though the hops seems like they are beginning to turn. Taste is a little bitter, but there is some residual sweetness that hangs in there to balance it out. OK.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Tap- pours a hazy golden/orange with a creamy white head and good lacing. Nice mouthfeel and solid hop character with a pleasant finish and strong bitterness.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Beermongers in Portland, OR. Poured a golden colour with a tight, white head. Surprisingly sweet aroma of lavender, honey with some spicy hop. Bitter orange zest on the initial flavour with some biscuity malt and toffee sweetness. Finish was hop resin, dried fruit, mango and straw. Excellently balanced IPA and a fine recommendation for a take home beer.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled in July sometime as indicated by the "7" written on the cap in Sharpie. Purchased at the brewery.
A: pours an orange ale with brilliant clarity and about a single finger of toasted cream foam. This falls slowly to a quilt of the same, and is consistently served via a central column of evident bubbles. Ropey lace.
S: Pine, grapefruit rind, resin, some sage and bitter orange. Hops dominate over the biscuit malts under there somewhere.
T: My initial thought is there is a little bit of soil in this beer - has a flavor like raw dirt or the aftertaste I get when I eat a carrot without washing it first. Plenty of bitterness, some alcohol, sweet malts with a hint of powdered sugar flavor.
M: A bit heavy for the style with interesting carb: the carbonation is quite high when it hits the palate, but this dies out quite quickly and the beer then feels thin and nearly flat. Interesting; not sure I dig it.
O: Interesting take on a style that makes or breaks a brewery it seems. I like the nose, the look is good, but the taste and flavor leave something to be desired for me. Definitely unique and therefore worth seeking, but I won’t be seeking a second time.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bomber. Cloudy and hazy dark amber with an off white head. Semi sweet tropical hops, some caramel malts, fresh and clean. Full body, moderate carbonation, teases with an initial sweetness that then changes to a completely bitter palate, some citrus and grapefruit on the finish that becomes very dry. Delicious.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle with thanks to douglass88! Bottling date 09/26. Pours hazy orange with a small off-white head that dissipates quickly with decent lacing. Aroma is pine, caramel, citrus. Flavor is the same, light plus sweet and medium bitter, resinous. Medium body, oily mouthfeel. Not rising from the pack here...

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught. Hazy gold, a little lace. Aroma is big sweet ripe tropical fruit, apple, caramel malt, hops. Flavor is the same with bracing pine bitterness and cooling astringency. Full, thick, lively, warming all the way down, all that astringent mouthwatering hop burp goodness. so good. What you want a west coast DIPA to be.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear deep golden with a dense white head, this beer glows in your glass! Huge juicey citrus aroma. Flavors take it deeper with bitter pine and grass, grapefruit and lemon abound. Sweet and malty upfront and then ends with a clean hoppy finish. Possibly one of the most underrated IPA’s of Oregon? For under five dollars a bomber this is a go to for me.
