Pleasant IPA, bitterness well under control, smooth drinker. Grapfruit-orange colour with head, hop aroma. A bit above average mouthfeel. Great accompaniment with food.

Clear bright copper with a puffy and well-lacing white head. Aroma is a delicate mix of powerful fresh floral hops and mild caramel malt. Body starts bold, fresh, hoppy and sweet with a refreshing balance. A very drinkable, balanced, and enjoyable IPA. Thanks TChrome!

A: The beer pours a clear golden color with a big white head.
S: Pine and citrus peel hop notes are present right away. Plenty of grapefruit and some mild grass and floral notes are also present, as is a bready malt aroma.
T: Quite bitter with a very green flavor, almost like undercooked potatoes. Slightly woody with lots of grass and citrus peel. Not as much citrus flavor as I had anticipated, given the aroma.
M: Medium in both body and carbonation.
O: A pretty strange flavor, and I wasn’t the hugest fan.
3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 3fourths (7063) - Boulder, Colorado, USA - JUN 26, 2003
UPDATED: DEC 28, 2011 Sampled from cask @ brewery, June 2003, as well as from multiple bottles. Rating is from cask - Golden yellow amber, lots of bubbles drifting slowly down the glass. Very sweet peach aroma. Wonderfully hoppy aroma. Smooth and creamy first taste, then quite full, with only a little bitterness. Finishes without the common bitterness, and remains smooth throughout the drink. Easily one of the best cask beers I’ve ever had, and an outstanding IPA on it’s own as well.
4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 17, 2006
UPDATED: JAN 18, 2011 Any first impressions?
-A rich head of foam crowns the translucid orange.
-Luxurious, booming orange hop flowers morph into wooden hop resins and sandy angles.
-As the aroma announces, this is a quintessential West Coast IPA folks; fruity hops all over and just enough malts to support.
-Body is slender and quenching, making this a very drinkable pint.
What if you dig deeper?
-A wooden hop bitterness lingers beautifully.
-The biscuity maltiness fits perfectly with the colourful hoppiness.
-Orange pulp, pink grapefruit, and a plethora of other citrus fruit celebrate their seaside reunion.
-You could complain that it doesn’t have any unique personality, but who cares! This is so well-brewed, clean, and scrumptious, you couldn’t ask more from a typical West Coast IPA.
Bottles.

Bottle from Brock_Landers. Deep golden pour with huge, fluffy head. Aroma of huge piney hops, tropical fruit. The flavor is hoppy, very fruity, with a solid caramel malty backbone. Yeah, this one does get a little hot, but I didn’t notice it until the very end. Worth seeking out!
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Ughsmash (6723) - Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 30, 2009
Thanks to Bob for the bomber.. 2008, I believe. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a creamy, sticky, well-retained cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up pine, floral, and earthy hoppage over pale and caramel maltage.. the hops appeared to be muted, but it was still well balanced. The flavor found toffee and pale malts at the core, along with the faintest hit of fruit.. with earthy and floral bitterness plus mild oxidation around.. peppery hops plus a little more of that oxidation on the finish. Medium-bodied and well-carbonated on the palate.. spicy with a moderate overall level of bitterness.. felt good, but not great.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 jercraigs (6603) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 14, 2010
2010-06-28. Crisp golden body with a nice off-white head and lace. 3+ Nice hoppy aroma, lemon-grapefruit blend, muted leafy hop notes. 7+ Flavour has a good amount of bitterness, modest citrus, citrus seeds, and a kiss of resin. 7+ Average plus bodied palate is appropriate for the beer. Solid IPA but I had pretty high expectations from anticipation, so it was a disappointment when it was just very good and not excellent. Just a little more citrus would have taken it over the top. Sampler at the brewpub, Pacific City.

Pours light copper with an off white head. Smells of resin, some spice, citrus. Tastes of citrus, some caramel, peppery, nice spicy finish.

Thanks to cmaruschak for providing me with this superb IPA. Pours a bright bronze/orange color with tiny rising bubbles and a medium white fluffy head. Nice lacing streaks the glass. Big citrusy hops aroma. Medium-bodied with an excellent hops flavor. Citrus and a bit of malt and herb flavors are very well-balanced. The finish retains the flavorful hops throughout. This is probably the best "regular" IPA I have had, beating out even Alesmith and Buckeye Hippie IPA. Excellent!
