Nice fruity, spicy hop flavor and aroma. A lot of Cascade grapefruit/orange. Maybe a little leafy in the flavor? Nice light malt backbone: light bread; sweet, but not too much.

Brought this back home from my trip to the OR coast. Pours a nice clear golden color with a nice frothy head. Scent is more of an English style IPA to me, grassy and hay scents as well as piney. Taste is a bit citrusy with herbal flavors. This is a very clean, refreshing IPA. Nicely done.

Great IPA. Nice, crisp, and well balanced with the perfect taste and aroma of hops.

Incredible citrusy and woody hop aroma! Fresh cut hay in the fields! Color is orange/gold. Good carbonation and a pillowy off white head. Creamy, malty taste at first, but the hops definitely take over in the middle, making the biggest impression here. The finish is hop dominated, but some residualy malty sweetness lingers on for some balance. Quite a nice IPA. Not quite one of those super powered Imperials that everyone seems to be brewing lately. THis is well made and one of the better IPA’s I’ve had in some time.

A big hop monster of a beer 70+ IBUs. It’s got a great malty sweetness and a wonderful (classic PNW) Cascade/Centennial hop flavor and aroma. The hops do tend to coat your tongue though.

Enjoy it on the deck looking out at the Pacific after a day on the waves or just enjoying the beach. Few beers have been more enjoyable.

UPDATED: JAN 6, 2008 22 oz bottle from SamuraiArtist.Golden-amber color with a rather large white head. Aroma is packed with crisp, clean citrusy-hop goodness. Taste is wonderfully hop-forward, with lots of floral-citrus and some quality, slightly grainy malts thrown in. Cascades really shine in this baby - one of the best regular IPAs I’ve tried!

Pours a crystal clear rosy copper with a decent head and some marvellous laceing. Aroma consists of plenty of bitter, oily pine. Yum! Very dry, bitter taste - light biscuit character. Good amount of sweetness upfront, but is consumed by dry hop notes and alcohol - scotch like in terms of dry heat. Great carbonation, crisp body. This is splendid! Reminds me of all those over-the-top IPAs I enjoy when visiting the US. I suspect this would age well.

Man, the west coast sure knows how to build a good IPA. This thing is a spectacularly crafted, hop-forward, drinkable, lingering IPA.

This beer strikes me as strange in that the aroma is massively hoppy but the hops are so well concealed in the flavor that I barely notice them despite it being 80 IBUs. Such a smooth drink, very grapefruity but not in a cloying way. One of my very favorite IPAs.
