harlequinn (2746), Tacoma, Washington, USA Mar 13, 2006 A nice full bodied brown porter. Rich and nicely roasted , with full on flavors of chocolate and coffee, moist chocolate cake mouthfeel. NIcely balanced with a dry roasted finish. Oakes (6793), Miami Beach, Florida, USA Mar 1, 2006 Near black. Fairly strong aroma with roast and a bit of chocolate and coffee. Smooth, full maltiness. Quite roasty as porters go but with smooth chocolate richness to back it up. Finishes quite dry. omhper (10145), Stockholm, Sweden Feb 17, 2006 Updated: Apr 4, 2006Draught at the brewpub. Black, brief head. Aroma of mildly roasted coffee. Dryish with fairly light body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. There are notes of aniseed and some other stuff, but the lack of malt softness doesn’t allow me to pick up the more subtle flavours. Medium bitterness. BrewDad (1553), Olympia, Washington, USA Feb 12, 2006 [Tap] This was a dark brown with great haed. Loved the flavors and the light malt hints throughout the ber. Nice body and good blance of flavors. Good overall beer. jackamackson (127), USA Mar 26, 2005 dark brown pour, with a huge tan head. roasty, caramel aroma, with a little hoppy bite. flavor, i would say is the same as the aroma, plus a little chocolate up front. and a good roasty/bitter finish. pretty good but not great
