[3005-20100628] Tap. Light grapefruit hops aroma. Clear, orange amber body with a long-lasting creamy white head and some lacing. Rich sweet grapefruit peel flavour has lots of fruit notes and a long sweet citrus aftertaste. Full body. Interesting, wow.

2010-06-28. Crisp dark yellow body with a creamy white head and lace. 3+ Sharp bitterness at first, spicy notes follow quietly. I can’t quite place them. Coriander? Lemongrass? Light fruity accents, light alcohol on the tongue but it is warming in the throat. 7+ Fragrant aroma, floral, spicy, honey notes? Light alcohol, pale malts. 7+ Smooth average plus palate is effervescent. Really nice but I am not sure I would want more than a small sample in one sitting. Interesting. Sampler at the brewpub, Pacific City.

tap at the brewpub. pours a clear golden with a creamy eggshell whitehead. nice lace. notes of fresh cut grass, weeds, and earth. flavor is a sharp, biting earth and hay. toasted grains. needs more dryness. great beer though. surprising, since i typically don’t care for golden ales all that much and an "imperial golden ale" doesn’t sound so hot either. but this was good.

Tap @ Cheers to Belgian Beers... Poured amber/orange with a thin-to-no head. Freshly hopped nose. Tasted of fresh hop oils right of the vine. Sweet and citrus tones, candied sugars and malted grains with some interesting yeast things going on.
