Draught at the Tap Room in Tillamook. Rich malty nose. Bright reddish/brown color. Rich roast initial / light hopping and a touch of spiciness / spritzy and balanced finish. Okay. True to style and fairly ordinary.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Wine and Beer Haus Seaside, OR. Heavy malt aroma with toffee and caramel notes. Pours copper colored with a decent off-white head and very little lacing. Sweet caramel malt with toffee notes. Finishes smooth and clean. Not a scotch ale per se but still very good.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draft - Caramel and dark grains. Clear amber with a thin white head. Taste is very grainy with a bit of caramel. The hops impart a slight bitterness, but overall this beer is very muted and plain.

It does not taste distinctly like a Scottish Ale, but my experience with the style is not very extensive.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught @ Brouwer’s Café:   Copper hued amber, light carbonation, small frothy sandy head, spotty lacing.   Soft caramel and toasted malt nose, a touch of biscuit as well.   Strong biscuit start, soft caramel and toasted malts.   Straight forward, clean, solid for the style.   I do wished it were a touch sweeter tho.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Does go down smooth.   Lingering biscuit, sweetness picks up a little here.   Solid, even if average.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Pelican brewpub. Pours a clear amber with low foam. Spotty lacing. Nose is sweet cherry juice box. Taste is richer caramelized malt, biscuit, mild hop balance, big biscuit and orange marmalade (seems to be the house special). Nice, oilier palate.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewery. Malt aroma and flavor are both mild here. Surprised by the restraint. Clear caramel color with a white head. Very muted for the style.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours with an off-white head that quickly disperses. Color is a light amber/copper. Aromas of light caramel and toast. Flavors are mild malts and a bit of sweetness that finishes quickly with clean hop acidity. Fairly light-bodied with a crisp mouthfeel and good carbonation.
