2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours with an off-white head that quickly disperses. Color is a light amber/copper. Aromas of light caramel and toast. Flavors are mild malts and a bit of sweetness that finishes quickly with clean hop acidity. Fairly light-bodied with a crisp mouthfeel and good carbonation.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
On tap at the brewery. Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Aroma of pale and caramel and nutty malts plus dough and a faint bitterness. Flavor the same. Average texture. Not bad.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Randomly enough a bottle from UT state liquor store picked because I wanted a Scottish ale tick. Nice bronze color with a medium, tan head. Light aroma of sweeter caramel malt. Great flavor that balances the malt with a hint of hoppy bitterness. Very pleasant.

2.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
(Bottle) The worst Scottish ale I’ve had. Cola taste, thin body, astringent aftertaste. This is a very bad beer.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Pelican Pub in Pacifc City. Pours a hazy copper with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is bready malt, caramel, nuts. Thin mouth, rich malt, nuts, caramel, raisin, light dryness, good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to mini snifter. pours dark copper to red with a medium of white head that dies quickly to leave nearly nothing. Aroma is sweet and toffee with a slight crusty and bready note. Taste is a mix of hop bitterness with a sweet toffee and caramel back bone. Finish shows just a tad bit of dry roastiness in the very back of the finish. A very faint smokiness or it could be the light chocolate. I’m rather impressed by this one, considering it is typically a less than exciting style.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Restrained aroma with cloudy copper colour. Flavour is nicely balanced to start and gently gives way to a light bitter finish. An interesting alternative to the regular pale ale.

2.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Poured from tap to glass. Golden hue with creamy white head. Aroma is burnt malt, honey, esters, hay. Mouthfeel is ok with a medium body and soft carbonation. Taste is sweet with an astringent following and estery finish. Overall this isn’t that great.

3.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft pour at Bambinos. Pours a dark red color with little to no head. Very mellow tasting scotch ale with some nice, calm malt flavors and some spice. A nice, balancing, yet light hop presence to round of the finish. Nice caramel like flavor throughout as well. Kind of a stand out scotch ale for me. Very tasty and drinkable. Good beer here.
