COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A beautiful light amber-red color and a medium bodied presence. Our newest seasonal has a malt aroma reminiscent of light toffee and caramel, and a subtle floral bouquet from Santiam hops. The lush aroma gives way to a full, rounded malty flavor with bread and biscuit notes, and a smooth, well-balanced finish.

This would make a great pelican beer for 6 packs, very easy drinking and very well made. Pours red/copper with a soft off-white head. Lots of juicy citrus hops balanced very well against the light caramel malt flavor. Very easy on the palate, almost feeling watery, but packs a lot of flavor for such an easy drinking beer.

A good beer. Needs a little more time int he keg and this would be a great beer. I liked the tones it had and the color was very good.

A really rich amber / irish ale. Has a big bold malty flavor. Served ice cold and it was really refreshing and had a nice palate

22 oz. bottle ordered from the brewery. Pours a mostly clear amber color with some red-orange tints and a finger-thick off-white head. Notes of toasted caramel malts, earth, a little bit of grass, biscuits, and faint floral hops. Light-medium bodied, with a bready mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Had this shortly after another PNW Irish Ale- Ninkasi Renewale- and this was the clear winner of the duo.

This is a nice little session beer. Not too overwhelming and quite easy to drink. Nice toasty malted flavors with a rich bit of fruitiness, some really good creaminess and a nice lingering acidity and a dry herbal hop finish.

Had this today on tap at the brewpub. Its quiet a nice brown colour, quite dark for a "red", has a large tan head. Smell is mostly of caramel malts though the hops to show a little. I did not like the taste of this to begin with, at the start I found it too sweet and watery, but as it warmed more robust characteristics took hold, the malts became less sweet and more caramel and the hops showed well at the end. Thin mouthfeel to start ,but thickened as it warmed ,eventually being rather smooth and nice. A drinkable red ale in the end,not too bad at all.

Bottle:   Amber, a little fiery, moderate white head, frothy white head, sparce lacing.   Faint peaty aroma, slight biscuit and nuttiness.   Sweet mealiness on the tongue, a bit nutty.   Pale breadiness, a bit whole wheat like.   Moderate to full body and mouthfeel.   Semi-sweet nutty finish.   Simple clean and entertaining.   Lighter example, but refreshing.

Tap @ brewery. A red-orange color with a glass ringing head. The aroma is sweet, caramel, and malty with some roasted chocolate notes. Leaves a dry malty aftertaste.

I’m generally not a big fan of American ambers, but this one was pretty good. Poor head retention, but interesting flavor and clean semi-bitter finish. I’ll have to drink some more of this one to rate it properly.

Sample tray. Darker copper than Scottish Ale. Nice toffee scent. A bit of alcohol and toffee flavour.
