A dry American chocolate is prominent. Bottle from Capone’s. The aroma is terrific. Bittersweet. A little thin. Still a dessert beer.

Bomber. Pours teakwood, with a litle nipple of dark brown at the bottom of the Stone IPA glass, and a 2-finger tan frothy well-retained head. Nose is huge dark choc syrup, roasty dark malt. Tastes a bit thin of body; with a big dark chocolte flavor, smooth sweetness, and an overall dessert beer essence.

Draft in Washington PA. Pours a deep brown color with a medium tan head. A rich nose of chocolates and coca. The flavor is a big milky chocolate forward beer with some ash. Very good. Nice example of the style.

Sampled on draft this beer poured a black color with a large creamy brown head that lingered forever and left great lacing. The aroma was somewhat bitter and toasty with notes of cookie dough, vanilla, cream and a touch of wood. The flavor was strong sweet vanilla, cream and marshmallow with light notes of chocolate syrup and cola. The finish was very long cream, vanilla and marshmallow. A bit thin in body but silky smooth. Well done.

On tap at Bites & Brew. Big beautifiul pour, took 5 minutes to do it. Black and nitro thick with a nice foaming appearance, like a good guinness; haven’t seen one like this for a while. Really somthin to look at. No hint of choco in the aroma, just a clean olfactory, perhaps the foam is abating the smell. Stoutish taste but again no hint of chocolate or if there is I can barely detect it. A little leather in the background. Fairly mild and goes down quite easy. Yes, a very friendly stout, however; even tho its styled as a sweet stout here, its more in line with a stout or dry stout. Nice finish and overall good dark beer experience, very little if any associated bitterness.

On tap at the Coney. Terrific aroma. Chocolate milk and Irish car bomb. Sweet, roasty with milk sugars and light carbonic gaseousness. Very mild hop notes. Dark black body with creamy tan head. Medium body with medium carbonation on nitro. Starts sweet and chocolatey, with milk sweetness, a bit of Irish cream, and light roasted bitterness. Finish is a bit thin with mild acidic-carbonic tang. Nutty sweetness with mild chocolate after. Nice stout, kind of reminiscent of Young’s Double Chocolate.

This one poured a murky medium brown color with a beige head. Aroma was a good bit of milk chocolate, and light roast, fairly inviting. Flavor was pretty much all chocolate and caramel, reminded me of that tootsie roll flavor I get from Young’s Solid.

Solid brown, tan thin cover. Aroma is all chocolate, chocolate milk, very sweet. Taste is again milk chocolate, chocolate milk, sweet, solid chocolate flavor without much roast, reminds me of a less boozy Choklat.

A delicious stout from my hometown brewery! Aroma was fantastic. Heavy milk chocolate. Very full and distinct. Pour was a nice deep dark brown with a one finger tan head. Taste was a little more subdued than the aroma, but still a very delicious beer. Light and airy, with not much else than chocolate poking through. Sweet and milky. Light carbonation with a quick finish. If there was ever a stout meant for warm weather, this would be it! Delicious
